Veterinary Emergency Group Introduce
When a beloved pet suddenly falls ill or suffers an injury, it can be a terrifying experience for any pet owner in Florida. Unlike a regular veterinary clinic with standard business hours, a pet emergency can happen at any time, day or night. This is where a dedicated emergency animal hospital like the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Clearwater, Florida, becomes an indispensable resource. VEG is designed from the ground up to handle urgent and critical situations, offering a specialized and compassionate approach to emergency veterinary medicine. Unlike many traditional emergency vets, VEG has a unique philosophy centered on keeping pet owners involved and informed every step of the way, which can make a profoundly stressful situation more manageable.
The goal of VEG is to provide immediate, high-quality care without the typical wait and separation anxiety often associated with an emergency room visit. They are an emergency-only animal hospital, which means they are fully equipped to handle a wide range of life-threatening conditions. For those living in Clearwater and the surrounding communities, knowing that there is a 24-hour facility that can provide immediate attention and skilled care is a huge relief. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Amelia Davidson and her weekend team were amazing. She was transparent, professional and compassionate. She let me stay the whole night watching and assisting to hold and cuddle my dog while they sedated her and placed a urinary catheter in her as well as in recovery. I saw the while surgery from the nice windows and how intricate and thorough she was irrigating, repairing and suctioning. Her team was so in sync and they were all working together nicely. She saved my dogs life as it was a life threatening emergency and I couldn't be more happy with how Bella's treatment and records is going
August 18 · Amy DrosteWe took our puppy here last Thursday for a possible (later on confirmed) broken leg. I was dying of fear and anxiety at first because my puppy was in pain and he’s only 8 months old. But as soon as nurse Courtney talked to us and started to take care of Ricky, my stress levels went down and I knew that he was in good hands there. Courtney was truly awesome, very patient, sweet and caring for Ricky as well as the rest of the staff members who helped us with our puppy. You can tell that they love their job and take good care of all pets in there. Dr. Soyka was very nice and helpful as well and our baby left the ER with a sling and a treatment for pain management and though he still has a lot to deal with, we are very thankful for this wonderful team of VEG ER for Pets in Clearwater. ❤️🩹💖❤️ THANK YOU A BUNCH, Guys!!! 🙏
July 27 · Ana Pérez PinoAbsolutely amazing experience. Brought my dog in, Milky, today after he got into some pieces of gum that contained xylitol. Our tech, Katie, took such great care of Milky and they worked around our budget. Very patient and kind staff at this emergency vet. Overall, it was a super accommodating experience, they even had phone chargers available when my phone was about to die and another tech, Kourtney, held the door open for us on the way out wishing us well and a safe drive. If I'm ever in an emergency situation with my dog again, I will be back to this location.
July 10 · Stephanie TavaresOur dog had been vomiting & diarrhea all day. He wouldn’t eat or drink and got very weak. We suspected he ate something at the beach the night before. We took him to VEG and they looked after him right away. The staff was very friendly, caring and helpful. The vet examined him & thought there was an obstruction in his digestive system or ate something poisonous. He got IVs for hydration and nausea, we monitored him for the next few hours. If he continued to vomit there’s likely an obstruction and we’d have to do x-rays. Luckily later that night, our dog woke up & went straight for the water + food. We took him for a walk and he pooped out chunks of hard sand. Looks like he had sand impaction. He pooped more blocks of sand the next morning & now he’s back to normal, eating, drinking, wagging his tail, regular stool 🙏🏼 Would HIGHLY recommend this place! We were provided with several ER places, but this one had very high reviews compared to the others and now we see why. We loved the open concept and that we got to stay by our dog’s side for the whole process which really put out dog (and us) at ease. Thanks for your expertise and care!!
May 23 · Rachel M.C.VEG was an amazing experience. Ali was saved from the streets and critical with maybe 12 hours left of life left living in his outdoor conditions. We called VEG per our Vet's recommendation and had arrived in 15 mins from our call. We were greeted at the door, and within 30 seconds, Ali was on a table and had begun to be worked on. Dr. Daubert, Michelle & team are phenomenal and were a big part in saving Ali. Kudos and a big thank you to the amazing VEG Team. You guys are Pawsome!Brian, Kim & Ali
