★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I want to give a huge shout-out to the entire staff and especially to the team member who took care of us from the very beginning. She was incredibly informative, patient, and made both me and my dog feel completely comfortable throughout our visit. The level of care and professionalism was outstanding. Thank you to Dr Ashley O’Connell and everyone at the clinic for a job very well done!
July 17 · mike saltijeralIn less than a minute of walking in we had a TRIAGE team followed by tests and hospitalization for almost a week. In a world with a shortage on Vets finding this amazing group for emergency pet care was a gift.A combination of expertise, professionalism & kindness is rare yet VEG Oak Brook has all three. The doctors, nurses and techs work together - discussing options and determining next steps. It feels like you are working with one person with seamless transitions but instead it is a team focused on treatment and care bringing all the expertise into one place.I was isolated in a room around the clock for almost a week with my fur baby and his pneumonia. Each person cared for him as if he was their own. On the floor with him, next to him on a bed or to an exam table they comforted him during exams and tests with a soothing voice tailored to him that kept him calm. The kindness and honesty with me during this stressful time was appreciated as well. When I stepped out of the room in the middle of the night and no one watching, they were doing the same thing with other hospitalized pets whose owners could not be with them. Quite powerful to know this is just how they work regardless if you are there to see them or not! We are home now where he will finish recovery. I was educated at discharge on what and how to monitor things and provided detailed written instructions for care and follow-ups.If you need emergency pet care this is the facility to help. The staff is amazing! You can be there with your fur baby each step of the way or trust the team if you cannot stay to be professional, knowledgeable and amazing.
April 05 · Dawn TI had to bring my puppy, Oakley, to the Veterinary Emergency Group in Oak Brook today, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, not just with vets but with any hospital or clinic. Every single person on staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and informative.Even though there was a long wait because they were so busy, the team never let us feel forgotten. They checked in often, kept me updated on our place in the queue, explained every step of the process clearly, and made sure both me and my pup were comfortable the entire time.We left with everything we needed to get our dog back on track, and I left feeling truly grateful. What you all do is not easy, but you do it with so much compassion and care. Thank you, and please know you should be proud of the work you’re doing. Oakley is home resting now and thanks you for taking such good care of him! 🐾
May 27 · Charles GaryI would highly recommend this emergency vet! They keep you with your pet as much as possible, get you seen quickly, and genuinely care. After a while of looking for a nearby emergency vet when my cat started heaving and drooling after a few days of not eating much and vomiting after doing so, I finally came across VEG in my search. I called and was immediately transferred to a doctor so I could explain the issue. We determined my cat should come in and I was sent a link to check in on the way there. My cat was no longer in immediate danger but we still wanted to get him looked at.My partner and I were greeted at the front desk and briefly explained my pet's issue, then were right away brought back for triage. We were able to stay with my cat while they got vitals and determined the best course of action. They ran some diagnostics, which did take a while but we were given accurate wait times & updated as results were available. The explanations were thorough and in both medical terms and terms we could understand. It was determined we needed to come back after my cat had fasted for 8-10 hours, so we came back in the morning. We were greeted warmly again by the person at the front desk. Tests were rerun and after a while we got results and were able to collaborate with the doctor to determine best course of action for the unknown object in my cats stomach.Long story short, it ended up being an expensive hairball, but thanks to a staff member's suggestion it was a less expensive and non-invasive treatment.Besides having to be at the ER at all, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend this emergency vet clinic. I hope to never need to see them again but if I do I know my pet will be in good hands.
March 30 · Abrina WegnerThank you is an understatement to express my gratitude towards VEG Oak brook. Seraphim (my cat) arrived in critical condition. After a complicated procedure and a four day hospitalization he is literally back to life. The doctors and the entire staff were always courteous, professional, and friendly. Their care and compassion is for all animals and humans. Even at the most critical moments they were caring and tactful. The communication was constant and clear. The facilities are well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The costs of Seraphim’s treatment were high but the care and attention he received were definitely worthy.I will be forever thankful for everything they did for my baby Seraphim.
