West Side Veterinary Hospital Reviews
I can’t thank Dr. Leonard and the team at West Side Veterinary Hospital enough for the fantastic care they provided during Winston’s tail pocket surgery. Winston is my 4-year-old english bulldog, and before the surgery, he suffered frequent infections, discomfort, unpleasant odors, and an unfortunate habit of "butt-scooting" that left my area rugs blahhhhh. Dr. Leonard expertly addressed these issues with professionalism and compassion, ensuring that Winston was comfortable through every step of the process. The results truly speak for themselves. Since the surgery performed 10 weeks ago, Winston hasn’t had a single infection or sign of discomfort. He’s happier, healthier than ever!! The procedure not only improved his quality of life but also eliminated the stress I had about managing his recurrent tail pocket issues. That said, the 14-day recovery period required keeping Winston calm and limiting his activity, which was challenging at times. However, the clear post-operative instructions provided by the staff and their support throughout made a world of difference.I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Leonard and his team to anyone with a pup experiencing similar issues. Their expertise and kindness shine through, and Winston and I couldn’t be more grateful!
Jun 30, 2025 · Joe KachurakI would give them 10 stars!! I couldn't find a vet to see my 9 year old rabbit in my area. I spoke to West Side Veterinary Hospital which got me a appointment quickly. Sadly my bady needed to be put to sleep, I was extremely upset and Dr. Taylor and his staff were the kindest, sympathetic, most understanding staff. Staff made the process so accommodating to me. I didn't have to go in the waiting room to make a payment while I'm obviously crying and upset, they came to me and also brought me to a private room which was very peaceful. They allowed me to hold her through the whole process, I wasn't alone, their compassion was genuine!! I left through another exit from people in the waiting room. A few weeks letter they mailed me a sympathy card and the entire staff signed the card.Thank you again West side Veterinary Hospital 💓

Apr 18, 2025 · A Pennsylvania OutdoorsmanYou would be very wise to grow fur so you could have WestSide Veterinary Hospital provide your own health care needs. Dr. Leonard & staff are not only the best diagnosticians that you can ever find, but are genuinely compassionate. All aspects of care are thoroughly explained. The staff is extremely courteous. The care provided here is above & beyond. They also give their services/supplies to the local shelter & will work with families in need to provide the best care.
Dec 13, 2024 · kar lizI can't recommend WestSide enough, they are absolutely amazing with all of my animals. We recently had to get our oldest boy put to sleep, and Dr. Ritz and the rest of the staff were so kind, gentle, and compassionate and helped him pass over comfortably surrounded by his family who loved him. When I picked up his ashes they were in a beautiful wooden urn with his name plate on it as well as a clay paw print impression and a vial of his hair. They made one of the hardest days I've gone through be the best it could be under the circumstances and for that I will be forever grateful. Thank you all so much for everything you do ❤️
