Jun 18, 2025 · joel powellI don't usually leave a review, but had to for this place as I was blown away from the amazing compassion and professionalism of my experience.A couple weeks ago my child accidentally let a screen door slam my cat's, Leo, tail and broke the tip that got caught. It was a genuine accident and my cat tends to run up behind people very quickly and when my child told me I didn't see anything wrong at first and an hour or two later is when we could see the true damage start. This was very late into the evening and I couldn't locate a pet ER that would be able to take us so after waiting till morning and consulting with our vet they suggested Pet Stat. As soon as they were opened I was able to call and get an appointment as soon as possible and off we went.Upon arriving, the place was very beautiful and clean. Once we went inside we were welcomed and put into a room almost immediately. A tech was in the room, not even 5 minutes to go over the injury and assessing leo's health. After leaving the room, Dr. Payne was in the room a few minutes later to assess and go over his concerns and what the plan was. Upfront with our main concerns of financially being able to afford a surgery that my cat was going to need, Dr. Payne and his team were able to help navigate what they could do that could help us to pay. It was quick, efficient and, again, the absolute compassion they had for my cat whom they could see was such a handsome and sweet boy was astounding. You can tell they love animals and the help they can provide for the families that come in. Less than a week later and Leo is back to his normal self as if nothing happened. Almost a month from the initial visit and his tail healed up immensely with no problems at all!I highly recommend Pet Stat for all your pet needs!!Just a fun side note: Dr. Payne informed me that my cat is a 'mutant' variation, having black spots around his gums/mouth and nose. Lol! Our normal vet just told me they were 'freckles' so this was a fun tidbit to learn!

Jun 23, 2025 · Deli CruzI can't recommend this vet enough!! We just had to take one of our cats to the emergency vet last weekend for FLUTD symptoms, and then our other cat started having similar problems. Another 4 digit vet trip was absolutely not possible for us, so our primary vet recommended we go to Pet Stat. We called them, and within 45 minutes, our cat was being attended to (counting the 25 minute ride to get there).Dr Payne is a PHENOMENAL pet doctor. Incredibly thorough in his explanations, gave us multiple options and his personal recommendations for said options, and has a very clear love for his job. He's the only main veterinary doctor at Pet Stat currently (since they're still so new) meaning he is incredibly busy, but he still dropped what he was doing to treat an emergency. Incredibly professional as well.A vet tech named Claudia would periodically come in to go over what they were doing to our cat, and how much it was estimated to cost. This is a GREAT way to do business. She gave a very accurate estimate, and she was more than willing to answer any questions I had about any of the individual charges. She, as well, very clearly loves her job and was also incredibly professional.I was there for about 3 hours, but I was able to take my cat back home, and the grand total was a shade over $600. Once again, cannot recommend these nice people enough and it certainly will not be our last time going to them!
Jun 28, 2025 · Brian HainesOver a 2 week span, we brought our dog Archie in to Pet Stat multiple times due to unrelated, coincidental issues. Dr. Payne has a comforting presence and took the time to hear Archie’s medical history as well as answer all of our questions thoroughly. Not every issue was an emergency, but we chose to continue seeking care through Pet Stat rather than reaching out to our primary vet because of their knowledgeable staff and attentive care. Additionally, due to the heightened anxiety we (Archie included) were experiencing over the stressful period of time, we felt most comfortable with consistency. Although he is a gentle giant, Archie is a 150 lb American Bulldog who shows visible signs of anxious behavior in a vet office. Every staff member demonstrated professional and appropriate ways to greet and address treating Archie to ensure safety and comfort for everyone. By the 3rd visit, Archie was showing a significant increase in comfort upon arriving at pet stat.Since things have calmed down in our house, I have continued to reflect on the care we received each time we visited this facility. From staying open well past closing hours to provide additional care, discussing all options available for care and providing cost breakdowns ahead of any decisions, calls to check in on Archie as well as providing updates to me while he spent the day on site, allowing us to stay in the room with him during treatment when possible to reduce causing any additional stress for him, and additionally witnessing various staff members offer the same care and attention to other patients and their owners as I waited in the lobby each day. I could go on and on, but I fear the longer my review is the less likely anyone is to read it.I will continue to consider Pet Stat as my first choice whenever in need of care for my babies, and if Dr. Payne ever expands to offer general wellness visits, Archie and his little brother Pancake will be their first patients in line!
