Northland Aquaculture Reviews
Great experience with the guy we worked with. Nice small shop for fish and tanks along with required care items. Of note: parking can be done in back of store, and main entrance to the shop is actually in the back of the building as well, so parking behind is better than having to walk up/down the hill on the side of the building. Excellent owner though and very helpful.
Jun 21, 2025 · Matthew HaganAll of the fish are sick! Plenty of the corals have pests! Some of the inverts looked ok but sadly its mixed with fish that are sick and this means its carried around the tank! There were no information boards warning customers of fish being quarantined or informing that the fish is sick at the moment.Be sure to research about what to watch out for when selecting a fish!Might be pretty to inexperienced people, but if you plan to have your tank long term this isn’t the place to get from!
Jun 18, 2025 · JonWalking into this fish store feels less like shopping and more like stepping into someone’s personal circus. The owner is usually parked directly in front of the entrance, chain-smoking in his truck like it’s a designated nicotine lounge, texting commands to the poor woman inside who looks like she’s hanging on by a thread. The tanks are a rag tag setup thrown together on the cheap and feels like someone’s personal set up in a garage. This store doesn’t exactly scream “quality care.”There also always seems to be a dog roasting in the truck outside, and kids stashed away in a back room like it’s some weird daycare-meets-pet-store mashup. The whole place just feels sketchy. And if you take a stroll through the reviews, the drama certainly continues. We go from clearly biased reviews from friends/family, clearly disgruntled reviews from past employees/friends, to documented animal abuse of a Macaw Parrot that once inhabited the store. The owner seems to respond to criticism with contentious petty tirades with poor grammar to oddly polished and professional replies that make you wonder if someone else is ghostwriting some of his responses.Northland Aquaculture is a confusing mess of disorganized chaos and one thing’s clear: professionalism isn’t the strong suit here. But hey, if you can overlook the red flags—they do have descent prices so for that I’ll give them 2 stars.
