Petco Reviews
First time grooming. They listened, gave my pup exactly what I asked for with no scented products. And he was done and ready for pickup in less than 2 hours, minimizing stress for him. Highly recommended!
Jan 24, 2025 · Patricia Erwin6/3/25I visited the Frisco store. They received a saltwater fish shipment and were floating the bags.I lifted a bag to see the tag and the young lady who wasn't wearing her name tag yelled at me, "SIR DON'T TOUCH THE BAGS" to which I answered, "Ok", she says THANK YOU, I said "You're welcome"Now here comes NEELY (he was wearing his name tag)I asked NEELY to help me because I didn't want the hostile person to help me. I asked NEELY to come with me to the tanks. Then she shouts out, "HE HAD HIS HAND IN THE TANK!"I asked NEELY if my hand was wet. It wasn't wet so therefore I did not have my hand in the tank.Again, she yells out, "HE HAD HIS HAND IN THE TANK!"I said, "Get your lie right. Did I touch the bag, or did I have my hand in the tank?" I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to him. Then this other young man WITHOUT a name tag comes up to me putting his finger to his mouth to tell me to shut up and I had to inform him that I'm 58 yrs old and displayed my Military Veteran ID card. You don't tell me to be quite all you did was escalate the situation.Neely helped me.I bought a Flame Angel and a cleaner shrimp. Both were DOA when I arrived home.I called 877-738-6742 and filed a complaint.6/5/2025I received an email asking for a review to which I responded.6/7/2025Frisco Petco called but I couldn't get to the phone in time, and I called back and got the VM.6/8/2025I called again leaving a VM with no response.6/12/2025I called 877-738-6742 because the store hadn't called me back.6/13/2025I received another email asking for a review.Well, here's your review. That was a hostile experience.Repeatedly yelling at and lying on a customer and putting your finger to your mouth telling a customer to shut up is not the way.I had recently purchased a Purple Tang covered with ICH.I put it in my quarantine tank and nursed it back to health.I returned later to show a video of the Tang to the lady who sold it to me. I can't remember her name....It starts with an "L"After this mess.I will not set foot in ANOTHER Petco.I will go to PETSMART on the other side of Eldorado Parkway orI will make the drive to AquaStudios in The Colony or Dallas North Aquarium to make my saltwater purchases without hesitation, where customer service is on point.
Jun 15, 2025 · st louisI’ve been a loyal Petco customer for almost 10 years — from NJ to Dallas — and have been coming to this location for nearly 2 years. It was fine until today, when we had the misfortune of dealing with Emily. She refused to trim my dog’s nails, saying he was “aggressive” and there were “safety concerns.” What a joke. My dog has been coming here for years without a single issue. The real reason? She just didn’t want to be bothered. We had an afternoon appointment, and she straight-up told us she needed to finish by 7PM because they close at 8PM and she had another dog after ours. It’s obvious she was rushing to clock out early. Absolutely unacceptable. To make it worse, the shedding service was half-done — completely rushed and sloppy — but they still charged us full price like they did a great job. Total ripoff. And the front desk? Rude, unprofessional, and acting like they’re doing you a favor just by talking to you.If you care about your pet and your money, stay far away from this place. Total disappointment.
Apr 27, 2025 · Sen HuoBrought my 6 month old puppy for his first grooming. He was supposed to get his summer shave as his fluffy coat is too hot for him. They kept him for the entire 4 hours, handed him back to me just as furry as when I dropped him off, and said he didn’t do well. I have video of him on the table complying and letting her cut his nails, and around his eyes. She wasn’t even sweet with him in front of me. Customer service not friendly, they’re too busy, so many crying dogs in the back. This took up half of my day. Not impressed.
Jun 09, 2025 · sherry hodgesWent in yesterday to take a look at the saltwater fish. All the lights were off on the tanks and the associates told me it was because the manager just keeps them off uh- this is why your coral fragments are dying. Then when I figured I would rescue the sad looking bubble anemone and give him a chance the associate who helped me told me it was disgusting and he doesn’t want to touch it - ok well I want to buy it. And the worst part ? He put tap water in the bag. Tap water ! This is a marine animal tap water should have never been an option. Hoping he lives. You all need to address this or these associates will kill off your marine stock
