Petland Las Vegas Reviews
We got a 9.5 week old Wheaten Terrier from Petland on March 22. He did have very slight nasal discharge at the time. During the purchasing process, they showed me a flyer listing all of the benefits and included perks of getting a puppy through them. One of those perks was a spay/neuter voucher. I assumed that was included in the sale price. After the fact, I did notice it was an additional $300 added separately to my receipt. Reviewing the paperwork later, it also appears that you can only have the spay/neuter procedure done at the vet office located next door. I was initially upset because we already have an established vet elsewhere that we really love. The pet warranty company called me days later and I asked specifically about that. They said I can get the procedure done at the vet of my choosing and submit the paperwork/receipt to them afterward to be reimbursed up to the $300. That is acceptable to me. Anyway, we took our new puppy to our vet the next day (March 23) where he was prescribed an antibiotic for the nasal discharge, had a fecal test done, and a general wellness exam. I will say the nasal discharge stopped pretty quickly after bringing him home and I’m not certain he was even sick or if it was just from irritation due to cleaning products used at the store. His fecal came back positive for coccidia which was treated and resolved. He has had no other health concerns and is growing excellently and is quite smart. Mild respiratory symptoms and parasites are extremely common among puppies, that’s why dewormers are a standard practice for them. We are happy with our decision to buy from here as we had a pretty small list of breeds we were considering and I was only interested in a puppy. The pictures included are of Teddy when we met him at Petland and from yesterday, May 6.
May 07, 2025 · Natali HamptonIt was cool how you can pet and play with the animals, and the place was very fun. But the dog enclosures behind the glass seemed kinda gross and sad. Wish they had better spaces to rest.🐾
Jun 19, 2025 · GH DiFalcoRecently, I acquired a Yorkie terrier from Petland, which had been in their care for approximately seven months. During my first veterinary visit, I was informed by the veterinarian that Petland had sold me a dog with knee issues, which was surprising as the individual who had sold me the dog had not disclosed this information.Furthermore, the medical records provided by Petland regarding the dog’s vaccinations were inaccurate, as determined by my veterinarian. Additionally, the veterinarian suggested that my dog may not be a purebred Yorkie terrier. When I contacted the store manager to address these concerns, I was met with a dismissive and condescending attitude. The manager appeared to believe that the veterinarian I had consulted was unqualified and lacked knowledge about dogs. This behavior was unacceptable, especially considering the significant amount of money I had invested in purchasing the dog and related products from Petland. Also, the vet has found parasites in his system. After being told. The dog was very healthy
Jun 05, 2025 · Angel DiazVery attractive because they have puppies all the time, but supplies price is a bit more expensive than my regular store. All the puppies are amazing but very expensive. I know they are AKC inspected, vaccinated and well kept but still 3k for the cheaper dog is a robbery.
May 12, 2025 · Fabrizio MisuracaI went into this location this past weekend. The beta fish are put in the back where customers don’t see when they first walk in. The water in this beta fish tanks are abhorrent. They have some sort of water system that I assume is supposed to recycle the old water and pump in new water, but it does not work. These tanks have gunk on the inside plastic making it difficult to see in. To allow these fish to live in this environment is shameful. If the fish tanks were up front, I know it would be a priority to keep them clean. Also, while sitting on the floor with my toddler, I was able to see a different perspective of the store. They don’t sweep or mop underneath displays. There are dead crickets, dust, and trash under every display that people can’t visibly see while standing around. This confirms my belief that they only clean what people can easily see. The dust under displays isn’t much of a concern, but I mentioned it to prove my point. If you own a pet store then take care of the pets in the store. All of them. It’s quite simple. If you don’t want to, then don’t sell that particular pet. Beta fish are obviously not money makers like the dogs and cats are, so they are literally forgotten about and neglected. Companies like this are very transparent about their main goal, money. Not the welfare of the pets they have in their care who depend on them for survival. I’ll never return again. Being in that store is just depressing and I already know they won’t improve their treatment of animals. Not to mention they keep selling rabbits when they aren’t allowed to unless they are spayed or neutered. I know for a fact they have been fined multiple times for this infraction, but they don’t care because rabbits bring in money! Especially around Easter time which is right around the corner. Can’t wait to see all the dumped rabbits around the neighborhoods come May. Not Petland’s problem tho.
