Petco Reviews
I’m extremely disappointed with the care my dog received at Petco. After a grooming appointment, I noticed a visible burn-like mark on his nose (photos attached). This is unacceptable—my dog was perfectly healthy when I dropped him off. Now he’s clearly uncomfortable and distressed. As a pet owner, I trusted Petco to take proper care of my dog. Not only was this trust violated, but I received no explanation or accountability from the staff. If something happened during grooming, I should have been informed immediately—not left to discover an injury myself.I will not be returning, and I strongly urge other pet owners to reconsider bringing their animals here. Our pets deserve safe, compassionate care—not injuries and silence.Looking forward for my refund!!
Jul 04, 2025 · Bryan AcevedoThe store is very well organized, and the staff does a great job. They match online prices with in-store prices, and you can find a lot of items for dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, mice, and ferrets. They also offer grooming services, and there are good discounts on certain products. However, the vaccination service is a bit too strict, if you arrive just 2 minutes late for your appointment, they won’t treat your pet, literally just 2 minutes after the scheduled time.
Apr 08, 2025 · Aleli HdCustomer service was absolutely unacceptable….young male refused to price match an item that I had bought the day before and was told I could come back and they would price match the item for me I wasn’t able to make it in same day so I can the very next day…management had me so upset because they weren’t being reasonable I had the receipt, item tag, debt card that matches receipt, and a photo id. The price difference was $15 from online to in store so who wouldn’t want to price match the item. manager stated that if I didn’t have the item in hand he couldnt price match even though I had the tag which was the reason he needed the item. I just didn’t appreciate the treatment I got from the staff when I kindly asked just for the difference to be put on a store credit and I use it in the store. I left very unhappy manager was old white guy with and beard and cashier was young black male they made something so small so big. If I catch the names I will gladly release the information
May 28, 2025 · Curly BabiiiWent in to try and get crickets, they were out of large crickets but that's whatever. I wanted to take a look at their exotic animals. I noticed they had a ferret alone in an enclosure, which shouldn't happen, they are very social animals. The tarantula enclosures are way too small even if they are supposed to be temporary. I noticed the chameleons' water was yellow, now I don't know if they any anything to the water for vitamins but it was a concern. Also FYI I know it is a standard to keep chameleons in the glass tanks at places like petco and petsmart but when they can see their own reflection in the glass it causes aggression since they think its another chameleon(they are very solitary animals). I stopped by the cats and noticed a bad smell, don't get me wrong cats can be stinky but this was something else like they weren't cleaning the litter boxes. Last thing, according to my boyfriend the urinals were BAD. It looked like there were feces remnants and mold 😬 Overall very depressing to see, I've seen other locations and chains do a better job.
Jun 12, 2025 · wow chroniclesCan’t say enough kind words about Alexis and the crew at petco grooming today! Blue is very sensitive about having his nails trimmed and she did a wonderful job keeping him comfortable and getting his nails cut. He also looks super handsome in his new bandana
