Several key features and highlights distinguish Royersford Veterinary Hospital, reflecting their commitment to both animal care and client satisfaction.
- Dedicated and Beloved Veterinarians: A standout highlight is the presence of veterinarians like Dr. Achtel, who garners immense praise from long-term clients. One review emphatically states, "Wherever Dr. Achtel works is our pet’s hospital. He is always at the best vet clinic in town. Great staff great service and great prices. He’s been our vet for many years and we won’t ever have another until he’s done. He is an awesome Vet and they will never have another Vet like him." This personal connection and high regard for a specific veterinarian underscore the trust and confidence patients place in the clinical team.
- Hands-On Approach to Patient Care: The review highlights a truly commendable feature: "Him and his assistant always get right down on the floor with whatever animal we have they are awesome. That’s every single one of them..." This physical act of getting down to the animal's level speaks volumes about their empathetic approach, helping to reduce anxiety in pets and fostering a more personal connection during examinations.
- Positive Staff and Service: Consistent positive feedback points to a "Great staff great service," indicating a generally supportive and efficient team working cohesively to provide a good experience for pet owners.
- Community and Family Feel: The mention of Dr. Achtel's family visiting the clinic ("it’s always just an added bonus when his family shows up his boys are getting so big and handsome and his wife is so beautiful") suggests a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that extends beyond just professional interactions, contributing to a sense of community.
- Area for Consideration - Professional Conduct: It is important to address a contrasting experience highlighted in another review, which describes a negative interaction with a "blonde vet tech." This review details concerns about rudeness, perceived pressure to purchase specific food brands, and, more significantly, allegedly rough handling of an "OLD AND PHYSICALLY DISABLED cat." The reviewer further states that despite requests for gentleness, the tech continued aggressively, attributing her behavior to being "upset that someone abandoned their dog here." This particular incident, if accurate, raises serious questions about professionalism, empathy, and appropriate handling of vulnerable animals, especially when a pet owner expresses concern. While this appears to be an isolated negative report amidst overwhelmingly positive ones, it is a crucial point for potential clients to be aware of and perhaps inquire about the hospital's protocols for handling sensitive pets and client concerns.

Apr 11, 2025 · TRUDI HOOVER PAGANBlonde vet tech is very rude. Tried pressuring me into purchasing food brands in which they are partnered after insisting I’m not interested. My previous visit was with my very OLD AND PHYSICALLY DISABLED cat who she was very rough with and even after I asked her to be more gentle she insisted she was a professional and continued moving my cat, who is very docile and willing, aggressively and forcefully until I raised my voice in anger. She then said that she was “just upset that someone abandoned their dog here”. So am I to believe because of that she was hurting my cat in anger? Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL.
Jan 24, 2025 · Isabella CracchioloI appreciated that they could see my dog the same day as a new patient, and the veterinarian was professional and informative. However, the vet tech was condescending and shaming, implying negligence when I expressed concerns and shared my dog’s medical history. Let this be a reminder that treating people with professionalism and respect rather than talking down to each other is a much better choice. When I take my dog to the vet, I want to feel supported and able to ask questions without fear of judgment.
Feb 21, 2025 · Lauren FloodIf you truly love your pet please stay away from this place. You should all Look at all the bad reviews.I recently took my baby there for removal of a cyst. I figured she would be under anesthesia so it would be a good time to have her teeth cleaned. Took her in early morning. They apparently were overbooked and what should have been an hour or so ordeal kept her caged up for over 6 hours. When we picked her up a “technician” saw us and claimed a tooth was loose so they had to pull it. Also said the teeth were in great shape. So why pull it?? The doctor was nowhere to be seen even though i wanted to find out why the tooth was pulled. Brought her home and over the next few weeks she was lethargic. She stopped playing with her toys that she loved and wouldn’t let us near her face. A few more weeks passed and thats when i discovered that these monsters pulled all of her front teeth. Two on top and two on bottom. I am heartbroken about this. They destroyed my beautiful girls personality and way of life. So thats why i caution everyone to stay away from here.
