May 22, 2025 · Sherry ParhamI had 3 boxers and a hunting lab. My first boxer was 12 yrs old and taken in to get a hysterectomy. While in surgery I got a call, she did fine aand was ready to go home in an hour. However, the doc said she needed to have a full mamory glend removal. I specifically asked if my dog would survive and was emphatically assured she would be fine. When I arrived to get her she was dead. So 1 star for that.My next boxer 9 yrs old, had liver cancer and when it was time the doc came to my house, after hours, and put him down. So 5 stars for that. My last boxer 13 yrs old had uterous tear. The doc wouldn't even try a life saving surgery, I don't blame her, that dog was really old. So 4 stars for that. Finally my lab. He went in for regular check ups and was always given a clean bill of health. His last check up was a week before he died. One day I came down stairs after waking up and he was stiff as a board. For that they get a big fat zero. After all this I give them 2 stars. I'll never use Abbot Rd again.
