Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center Reviews
After struggling to find urgent care for my 13-year-old cat, who was suddenly straining to use the bathroom, I contacted multiple veterinary centers — including a 24-hour emergency vet in Rochester — and was repeatedly turned away. We were told there were no openings and advised to try calling facilities in Buffalo or Corning, despite the urgency of our situation. It was incredibly disheartening and left us feeling helpless. When I explained our situation to Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center their kindness was felt through the phone. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated my cat with urgency, compassion, and respect. A special thank you to Dr. Carbone, DVM, whose kindness and professionalism helped bring comfort and dignity to an incredibly difficult moment. He was patient, thorough, and deeply empathetic — not just to my cat, but to my husband and I as well. While my cat ultimately passed, I will never forget the care he received. Orchard Park made space for him when others wouldn’t, and their support meant the world. This is what veterinary care should look like — compassionate, community-focused, and truly dedicated to the well-being of animals and the people who love them. I would recommend Orchard Park without hesitation to anyone in need of emergency care. Their kindness made all the difference.
Apr 14, 2025 · Michelle PrueMy girl Xena had a seizure and her regular vet was unable to see her. The triage staff came for her almost immediately to get her vitals and the doctor clearly explained our options to proceed. Unfortunately she had a cluster of seizures the next day and the difficult decision was made to euthanize her. The rainbow room at their facility is reminiscent of a living room, equipped with plenty of tissues. This is an excellent and compassionate facility.
May 12, 2025 · Amanda RI would absolutely use this office again if i needed to. The moment I called the office I was pleased. I called at 4am as my cat Cookie had been straining to use the litter box along with peeing a small blood clot (immediate panic). I called and the lady on the phone was already reassuring my cat was going to be in good hands, she was very calm and kind to me in a very panicked scattered state. upon arrival we waited 15-20 then were called back. the vet tech was so calm and attentive, she was so so sweet to Cookie and gentle with her. i was not rushed while explaining what i have noticed going on in detail with cookie even though she apologized for the wait that they only had 1 doctor on at the time, which really meant a lot to me. The vet came in to hear what was going on and listen, and explained my treatment options, along with the cost of each one. the tech came back in to get cookie for an ultrasound and the way she so sweetly and gently picked her up really showed her compassion. I was very happy and satisfied leaving there. i felt the cost of the visit was very reasonable for an er vet. they took care of my cat and put me at ease being so kind to the both of us. then today, two days later i received a call from them checking on cookie making sure she was doing okay with everything, which made me even happier with my experience. through and through satisfied with my experience all of the staff was very pleasant!
May 29, 2025 · Alexis HermanYou can imagine the shock and disbelieve we felt when our miniature Yorkie / Maltese Siah dove off the bed breaking both of her legs. My wife and I went to another emergency clinic by our home in Amherst first, but felt uneasy with the doctors and staff there. After asking around, we received a few recommendations for Orchard Park Veterinary. Dr. Kloc did a thorough examination and determine Siah needed surgery on both legs. The staff went over the cost and the financing options. We elected to have the surgery done there. It was an incredibly stressful experience but thanks to the professionalism of Dr. Kloc and his staff we got through it. The surgery was a success and Siah it's almost back to her normal incredibly active self (active is the understatement of the year!!) I would absolutely recommend Orchard Park Veterinary to anyone who is looking for a competent, professional place to take their pet.
Jun 01, 2025 · Gary NeubauerI have no real opinion at this time 6-15-2025.I went in as I was worried about my dog, this picture shows the walk-in/emergency cost. ($190.00) and poop sample ($41.00).They got me in the room at a decent amount of time from just walking in but did have to wait a bit for the vet to get in the room too, but I’m glad I have some insight for my dog tho now.
