North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service Introduce
Hello, Massachusetts pet parents! We all know that taking our beloved furry companions to a traditional veterinary clinic can sometimes be a source of stress, not just for us, but especially for our pets. The car ride, the unfamiliar smells and sounds, and the waiting room anxiety can turn a routine check-up into a challenging ordeal. This is where a service like North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service truly shines, bringing professional and compassionate veterinary care directly to your home. For those of us in Attleboro and surrounding Massachusetts areas, this mobile vet service offers a unique and invaluable option for our pets' health and well-being.
North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service, led by Dr. Peter Granville, DVM, is dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary services in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. Dr. Granville, a seasoned veterinarian with over 40 years of experience in private practice, now operates this mobile service with a focus on affordability and reducing pet anxiety. His philosophy embraces both Eastern (holistic) and Western approaches to veterinary medicine, aiming for maximum wellness and comfort for his patients. The core idea behind a mobile vet service is to eliminate the stress associated with clinic visits, making veterinary care more accessible and pleasant for pets who experience anxiety in traditional settings. They also emphasize the convenience for pet owners, especially those with multiple animals, as all pets can be seen during a single home visit.
North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service is based out of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and extends its services to communities within a reasonable radius. While the specific address provided is "Unnamed Road, Attleboro, MA 02703, USA," this indicates a home-based or administrative point, as the service is mobile and travels to you. Dr. Granville’s service area is within a 50-mile radius of North Attleboro center, and he also offers services in Rhode Island, making him accessible to a significant portion of Southeastern Massachusetts and neighboring areas. This expansive coverage is incredibly beneficial for pet owners who prioritize their animal's comfort and wish to avoid the stress of travel. To arrange a visit, pet owners can simply call to schedule an appointment, and Dr. Granville will come directly to your home, eliminating the need for you to transport your pet.
North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service offers a range of essential veterinary care options, primarily focusing on preventative care, medical assessments, and compassionate end-of-life services, all delivered in the comfort of your home.
- Preventative Care:
- Vaccinations: Provides core vaccinations such as Canine Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP), Canine Lyme Vaccine, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Feline Distemper 4-way, Feline Leukemia (FELV), and Rabies.
- Parasite Control: Offers means to treat heartworm and intestinal parasites, including fecal examinations for detection and deworming.
- Wellness Checks: Includes ear cleanings, dental checks (for onset of issues), nail trimmings, and checks for the onset of arthritis, all crucial for maintaining overall pet health.
- Medical Care:
- Diagnostic Tests: A number of diagnostic tests are available to help identify what might be "off" with a pet's behavior or eating habits.
- Treatment Options: Once a diagnosis is made, Dr. Granville discusses available treatment options with pet owners.
- Pain Management: Focuses on providing insight into pain management for pets with various conditions.
- Peaceful End-of-Life Services at Home: This is a significant service offered, where Dr. Granville works with families to ensure a peaceful and humane transition for their beloved pets in their familiar environment. This includes:
- Compassionate euthanasia services.
- Guidance and support for families during this emotional time.
- Basic Services: Includes anal gland expression and nail trimming (often offered when other services have been requested).
It's important to note that as a mobile service, highly complex surgeries or situations requiring overnight hospitalization are typically not offered. For severe emergencies, traditional emergency veterinary hospitals would be recommended.
North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service stands out for several key features and highlights that are particularly beneficial for pet owners in Massachusetts.
- Unparalleled Compassion and Understanding, Especially for End-of-Life Care: Numerous testimonials highlight Dr. Granville’s exceptional compassion, especially during the difficult process of euthanasia. Clients consistently express gratitude for his gentleness with their pets and his understanding demeanor towards emotional families. The ability to provide this service in a pet's own comfortable environment is repeatedly described as "invaluable."
- Stress-Free Environment for Anxious Pets: A major highlight of a mobile vet service is the reduction or elimination of anxiety for pets who get stressed by car rides, strange noises, unfamiliar smells, and waiting rooms at traditional clinics. This "comfort of home" setting is a game-changer for many anxious or physically compromised animals.
- Convenience for Pet Owners: For individuals with busy schedules, mobility challenges, or multiple pets, the ability to have the vet come to your home is incredibly convenient. Multiple animals can often be seen during the same visit for a single trip fee, which can be both a time and cost saver.
- Reasonable Pricing for Home Visits: Despite being a specialized home emergency service, especially on holidays, clients have found the pricing "extremely reasonable," which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious pet owners.
- Personalized and Natural Interaction: Home visits allow Dr. Granville to interact more naturally with pets, providing a more accurate insight into behavioral, dietary, or pain management issues, as he can observe them in their normal surroundings.
- Dr. Granville's Extensive Experience: With over 40 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Granville brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every visit, ensuring high-quality care. His belief that Eastern (holistic) and Western veterinary approaches can work in tandem indicates a comprehensive and open-minded approach to pet health.
However, it is crucial to address the conflicting feedback regarding scheduling and service area. While many praise Dr. Granville's compassion, one review highlights an experience where a scheduled appointment was canceled due to location distance, despite the address being known at booking. This suggests a potential area where communication or service area boundaries could be clearer, and pet owners should confirm their location's eligibility upfront.

North Attleboro Mobile Veterinary Service Reviews
Unfortunately, we needed a Vet on New Years day to euthanize our family cat of 17 years. Dr. Granville was at my home within an hour of calling him and he was extremely compassionate and understanding of how emotional this was for our family. He was extremely gentle with Shadow and the comfort that gave us just knowing that our cat's last moments were in his own environment in a calm, compassionate manner are invaluable to us. Considering this was a home emergency visit on a holiday, I felt the pricing was extremely reasonable. I hope we don't require his services again for a long while but I would absolutely recommend him.
Jan 03, 2024 · Michelle DiRenzoI never leave reviews but was so upset that I needed to. My 16 year old dog injured her leg and is in a lot of pain. My regular vet wouldn’t refill her pain medications without seeing her. She gets so stressed at the vet that I didn’t want to put her through that plus I didn’t want to lift her in and out of that car and risk injuring her more. I found this traveling vet that even states on website that travels for the comfort of animals who have anxiety in a regular vet sitting. I talked to him a couple of days ago and scheduled an appointment. I gave my address and talked about the reason I wanted her seen. He called me 40mins before my appointment saying I was too far away and he didn’t want to travel that far just to write a prescription. He knew where I lived when I booked it and he would have made around $200. I have never seen someone so unprofessional in my life. Now I have to get her seen somewhere else and she’s out of medications. I wish I knew this days ago.
Sep 27, 2024 · Jenna WhitemanHad a vet visit with Dr. Granville for my 2 Siberian huskys today. It was a very good experience. Dr. Granville is a very kind ,compassionate, and knowledgeable, vet. He makes sure you have a very comfortable visit. Answers all questions you may have before he leaves. I would highly recommend him and will be calling him again.
Feb 16, 2024 · Denise KlangI was absolutely blown away by Dr Granville’s kindness and understanding. I called him late afternoon on Saturday. He came to our home Sunday morning and took great care of our male Orange Tabby Cat. Within a couple minutes he diagnosed him and had all the medication with him. A kind gentleman for sure. Our fur baby is now on the mend. It’s super cold this weekend. The fact that he came during this weather says a lot. We highly recommend Dr Granville, an absolute pleasure!
Jan 16, 2022 · Drum Groove GuruDr Granville was great. He was able to diagnose and treat our cat's issue in the comfort of her home. We are so happy to have the travel vet option. We won't hesitate to use him again when their vaccines are due.
