While the vast majority of feedback points to a positive experience, it is important to acknowledge that every establishment may encounter individual challenges. A critical review mentioned isolated instances of dissatisfaction with front desk interactions, difficulties with same-day emergency accommodation, and a specific issue during a vaccination. The clinic's overall high average rating and numerous long-term positive testimonials, however, indicate that these instances are likely not representative of the typical client experience, but rather isolated incidents. It is important for potential clients to consider the overall pattern of reviews, which largely emphasize the exceptional care and support.

Abbott Valley Veterinary Center Reviews
We have been with Abbott Valley Center since our dog Lulu, a Shipoo, came into our lives. The care and concern we have received have always been top-notch. As Lulu approaches 12 years old, her medical needs have increased, and Abbott has been an incredible support system for us. Recently, she injured her leg, and our conversation with Kathy was filled with support, care, and concern for Lulu. Abbott Valley Center is more than just a veterinary clinic; it feels like an extended family. Thank you for everything you do to care for our precious Lulu.
May 16, 2025 · Maria KishfyThis place is absolutely AWFUL! We have had one bad experience after another. We definitely gave them more than one chance, having been a client for 10 months. There is a miserable woman who runs the front desk that is extremely snotty, rude and shows zero compassion. She complains about dogs barking and other clients on the phone to other employees while the client is on hold. We had two separate instances where our pup needed to be seen for a wellness visit during office hours the day of and they could not accommodate. We were then forced to pay emergency vet fees at a different place. Had a horrible experience with someone completely inexperienced trying to give our puppy a vaccine. They didn't give her peanut butter (which they normally do and have done on their own accord since day one) to distract her. Her breed is also high energy. The needle pierced through our dog's skin and the vaccine shot up into the air and was all over the floor. They never even gave our pup a follow up visit after being spayed. Not once have they ever made us feel welcomed, comfortable or secure in our choice of veterinary services. We have moved on to a much better vet office/company who truly cares and shows compassion for all the animals they care for and their owners. Highly do not recommend this place.
May 23, 2025 · Anita WhalenGreat!! Really accommodating with my cat, treated her nicely, the vet and vet tech were wonderful and informative. Seems like they really care and have passion for animals. Me and my cat have never such a good experience at the vet until I went here! 🐈
Jul 01, 2025 · Felix SmithJust left Abbott Valley. After 6 years of vet care at an office that was a bit of a drive for us (we live in Cumberland) we decided we’d transfer care to Abbott Valley based on reviews and the proximity to our house. We had an appointment for 2pm for both dogs to be seen and become new clients. We got there around 1:50 to fill out necessary forms and then proceeded to wait until 2:45 when we had not been seen, not been checked in on or spoken to by anyone. At that point our appointment was running 45 minutes late without any explanation so we left. I understand that sometimes things happen and these types of places do run late but a phone call would’ve been nice to let us know to plan to come later. Dogs generally get stressed at the vet, so to have us sit there for 45 minutes was honestly just not respectful of them or our time.
Jun 24, 2025 · Ashley SheehanAlways helpful and kind. We’ve brought our pets here for 30 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dr Gifford and her team have high standards for care and professionalism. Treated out aging cat with respect and reasonable care plan.
