For instance, one client specifically commended a staff member named "Crafte" for her immediate assistance during a Fourth of July emergency. This highlights a commitment to being there for pet owners in critical moments. The clinic's mission is to offer "exceptional, caring, compassionate, quality veterinary services," striving to provide optimal care and build lifelong partnerships for the betterment of all animals. I had to bring Luigi July 4th over to Lowville Country Veterinarian, my dogs back left leg was injured pointing out to the left, I thought it was a hip dislocation it was actually his back left knee with Ligament problems 😢 I want to let Countryside know that Luigi is doing better and is walking a little better 👍 I want to let Countryside know that Crafte was great! She was sitting waiting for me when I pulled in on the 4th of July! I thank you so much!! Also I will be following up with my Veterinarian when I go home on Monday. For Luigi is resting comfortably! Thank you again 👍👍
Jul 06, 2025 · Andrew StornoWe have been going to this clinic every summer for more than a decade, and in the past received very good care. The vet was wonderful and so were the staff. Things have changed and not in a good way. Apparently, the practice which has expanded to several new locations, is now under new management because this was the WORST treatment we have ever received (anywhere) for any of our pets. Today (Monday morning), we arrived at the clinic as soon as it opened because our 12 year dog had been sick all weekend (vomiting, diareah, not eating, etc). We were anxious for a vet to give us guidance on how to help her. Unfortunately, the receptionist was dismissive and extremely rude - told us we could wait but they were “slammed.” We waited an hour (there was only one other client there who was waiting to have his dog neutered). After the hour, we asked if there was a chance we could get in at all during the day (we drove an hour to get there). Again, the receptionist was sarcastic, rude - indicated that the doctor was about to do a neutering, and didn’t have time for us. The vet actually walked by us (and did not acknowledge our presence). We were told we could wait the rest of the day if we wanted to but it was not likely we would be seen. We then asked if she could just make a recommendation on what to do to help the dog (without seeing him - we would just pay for the advice). Again, we were told she was “too busy.” The receptionist did say we could drive to one of their other clinics (over another hour away) but that it was unlikely our sick dog would be seen there either because they were also “slammed.” It’s clear that this facility is now a big business that no longer cares about treating animals who are in need of help. What a huge disappointment - we won’t be back again, obviously.
Jun 30, 2025 · Linda NeiderI was up to our camp this memorial weekend my dog ended up getting tangled up with a porcupine. I was able to pull the ones (like 25-30) out of his nose and bottom lip and few for safe measure around his eye. So we’re from Rochester and my first thought was time to go to Syracuse but while leaving Croghan I gave countryside veterinarian call it was around 840. I was able to get a hold of it after hours receptionist she took down my information and had the vet call me back which she did within about 10 minutes. They told me to bring him on in they were able to take care of the ones that were inside his mouth. It saved me an hour and a half plus trip. They were very very reasonable and I wish I could remember the veterinarians name she was very nice and courteous and compassionate to my dog, The tech was very helpful as well I thank you very much again. You guys really were nice to help me out at such an odd hour.

May 13, 2025 · Sammie &JakeCountryside vet helped us through one of the toughest moments we’ve had to endure as a family. Saying goodbye to our family dog Rosco, of 10+ years, so suddenly. We didn’t have an established vet so it took some calling around to find a vet that was willing to provide care in an emergency situation. From the moment we parked the staff was so compassionate. When we received the news that we would have a tough decision to make, they gave us all the time we needed to come to terms with it. The veterinarian was very thorough in explaining our options. It was such an unforeseen circumstance but I’m glad Countryside Vet was there & willing to help us through. I will always be grateful.
