Fort Drum Veterinary Treatment Facility Reviews
I have two cats both female but ones in heat. So my oldest attacked my youngest. She had a very bad infection I wasn't aware of. I was doing everything I could till she scratched it. So I took her to these guys they don't do emergency visits but took her in right away shaved her told me it was infected and gave me the right meds and said everything else I was doing was good. She is doing amazing and it's only been a day and half. Super great and kind staff. Will definitely bring my kitty girls here for everything. Thank you !

Jan 07, 2025 · Natasha OrkEven today, reaching the Fort Drum Veterinary Clinic by phone often proves difficult, as I’ve observed calls being ignored—a frequent complaint mentioned in reviews. Therefore, it’s generally recommended to walk in rather than rely on calling. For those moving to the base with pets, it’s possible to visit the clinic without an appointment to obtain the necessary housing paperwork. You only need to bring the required documents, not your pet.The staff tends to have a neutral demeanor, which can come across as indifferent or unenthusiastic, but they handle paperwork efficiently. Regarding animal care, while the staff is attentive, there is a shortage of "Sick Call" appointments. One of the best features of the clinic is the "Vaccination Rodeo," where you can walk in for vaccinations and check-ups without scheduling an appointment, offered periodically. However, this clinic does not handle pet emergencies and is not open 24 hours. It’s advisable to have an alternative location in case of emergencies or if appointments are unavailable (mostly).
Oct 18, 2024 · Devon BechtelI take my puppy Atlas here. We tried a vet in Syracyse, and they refused services for being a minute late from the 10-minute grace period. Fort Drum Vet was able to get our puppy in the next week and provided great services. Our Vet was super helpful with discussing his vaccines and what he will need. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We have already seen them twice and have another appointment with them soon:-) our puppy LOVES the staff as well💗
