Project Hope Animal Outreach Introduce
For many pet owners in Michigan, providing consistent, high-quality veterinary care can be a challenge, especially when faced with rising costs. In the heart of Pontiac, Project Hope Animal Outreach is working to address this need by providing essential and affordable veterinary services. They are a valuable resource for local pet owners seeking a solution that balances professional care with a practical, low-cost approach. While the experience might not be a luxury one, the focus remains squarely on delivering the necessary medical attention to keep your furry family members healthy.
Project Hope Animal Outreach operates on the principle of making pet health care accessible to the community. They understand that a pet's health should not be a financial burden. This mission is reflected in their transparent and low-priced services, from vaccinations to essential diagnostics. They aim to be a place where the cost of care doesn't stand in the way of a pet's well-being. This focus on affordability has made them a popular choice for many, especially those who might otherwise struggle to afford routine check-ups and preventative care. The dedication of the veterinary team to "make my cats better," as one satisfied customer stated, speaks to the core values of the organization.
Located at 1111 Joslyn Ave, Pontiac, MI 48340, Project Hope Animal Outreach is situated in a central location that is convenient for many residents of the Pontiac area. The facility is designed to be accessible to all community members, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom. This commitment to accessibility ensures that all pet owners can bring their animals in for care without facing physical barriers. However, it's important to note that due to their popularity and the affordable services they provide, the clinic can experience high demand, which may lead to longer wait times. This is a common trade-off for low-cost services, and while it can be frustrating, many clients feel the value and quality of care are worth the wait. It is a place where you will find other people bringing their "sick dogs" and the atmosphere is busy but motivated.
Project Hope Animal Outreach offers a focused menu of veterinary services, primarily concentrating on essential, high-impact care that provides the most benefit to pets at the lowest possible cost. Their services are designed to address the most critical health needs of dogs and cats.
- Vaccinations: They provide a range of vaccinations at very low prices, including a 1-year Rabies Vaccine, 3-year Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Internasal Vaccine, DHLPP Vaccine, DHPP Vaccine, Feline FVRCP Vaccine, and Feline Leukemia Vaccine. These foundational services are crucial for preventing common and dangerous diseases.
- Diagnostics: The clinic offers essential diagnostic tools to help identify health issues. This includes a Blood Panel and a Digital X-ray service, both priced affordably to ensure these important tests are within reach for more pet owners.
- Other Treatments: While their services are concise, they focus on providing core veterinary care that is effective in maintaining a pet’s health. The team is dedicated to providing care that makes a tangible difference in the lives of the animals they serve.
Project Hope Animal Outreach has several features that are particularly noteworthy for Michigan pet owners seeking value and reliable care.
- Low and Transparent Pricing: The clinic's most significant highlight is its commitment to affordability. With clear pricing for services like a 1-year rabies vaccine for $15 and a blood panel for $100, pet owners know the cost upfront, which helps them budget for their pet's health.
- Dedicated Veterinary Staff: Customers have praised the "very good vet" and "doctor" who "make my cats better," highlighting the positive results of the care provided. The staff is committed to a professional and factual approach to veterinary medicine.
- Accessibility: The facility is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom, making it a welcoming and inclusive space for all community members.

April 23 · Christoba PrietoGuy on the phone told me there was a 10 min wait, when I arrived the parking lot was full, so I called and he doubled down on the “ten minute wait”. As I type this, it’s been an hour fifteen minutes. People are bringing sick dogs, it’s an affordable place, they’re nice. But you’re gonna wait, and the guy answering the phone is just gonna tell you what you need to hear to get you here. Same guy told me the vet in Millington was really affordable…I walked out of that vet with a $900 bill for quicking nails/teeth clean/anesthesia. He’s happy to mislead you! EDIT: The reply below is a blatant lie, I arrived 25 minutes after my phone call, the person replying has NO IDEA WHO HE'S REPLYING TO, HE'S JUST ARGUING TO "NOT BE WRONG", which is extremely juvenile especially for a person of their age. When I arrived, there was NO PLACE TO PARK as the parking lot was full. I called at that moment too, and AGAIN he said "Well it's ten minutes once you get in". I was inside 3 minutes later AT MOST as I parked on the side street. The wait was WELL OVER AN HOUR,...NOBODY was getting in in "10 minutes". The guy doesn't respect peoples time, as you can see in the reply below, rather than apologize for misleading me and pushing all my errands back substantially...he'd prefer to lie about the encounter. Which is how I felt when he said "10 minutes", he lied about that, he's lying about the situation. "at the time you called there was only a 10 minute wait" LOL FALSE. I was in the parking lot the second time I called. I arrived 25 minutes after my first call, I live 10 minutes away. When I called upon arrival with nowhere to park, I was AGAIN told "just ten minutes"...if I "Arrived hours later" as he chooses in misrepresenting the truth. MY WAIT WAS NOT "LESS THAN A HALF AN HOUR" as he lies again, I was there WELL OVER AN HOUR. I WILL NEVER GO BACK, he lied about the wait-twice and he's lying about the situation in the reply below, what else will he lie about. It's not worth me taking my best friend to a place that would rather lie to get you stuck there. If I have to pay full price to get the truth I will happily do so.You dont get to just make stuff up simply because your rates are lower. That's grifter mentality there. No thanks! Their reply is just a desperate attempt to control the narrative when they should be acknowledging their misleading behavior and promising for it to not continue. People plan their day around these visits, if he'd said "45 minutes to an hour" and it was completed in say an hour twenty... well then ok there is some wiggle room. But no, he said "10 minutes" during both calls. I waited 1200% longer than the time quoted. Not an extra ten minutes or even an extra 30 minutes, not to mention him then going so far as to misrepresent BOTH when I arrived AND how long I actually waited. The clear lack of credibility and accountability given all of this means I'll take my best friend to a professional Veterinarian. Did I ever get the right brand of medication? When people who are so eager to lie about these simple things, it makes you wonder if the meds you're getting are legit. I'm not saying they aren't, I'm saying now, given the fiction below, I'll be buying new meds from a real Vet. Keep misrepresenting the truth, the public will find out.
July 18 · Jimmy SlimsI wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else. They got me in there pretty fast vaccinated my dog found he had an ear infection. Gave me medicine for that and showed me how to use it. They were very kind and informative. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
May 30 · James PruettVery nice and helping , if your dog is unfriendly or bites ,they will come out to car to give shot. You would restrain with a collar muzzle and leash for their protection. I have a foster pet that was left behind so this was very helpful for me , until I train her to be happy and trust people. Amen for their help !
March 28 · Irene DlrI usually wont leave reviews but after my call today I am really sad with their service. HIGHLY disappointed in 2025. When I first took my dog the service was great, he got vaccinated and it was quick, the vets were amazing and the price was right! I called them today to schedule an appointment as my dog was urinating blood and I unfortunately spoke with ROY. Before I could even finish explaining how my dog was doing, he interrupted me to ask if my dog was a patient. I said no - before I could even finish again he interrupted me to say “Well if he isn't a patient here we can't help you go somewhere else” I said well he has been seen there before how rude to say, and he says well if he wasn't vaccinated here we can't help him go wherever you got his shots. I told him he did receive shots at this office then he said “if it was 3 years we can't help you” and hung up. How can you hear about a sick dog and not even ask questions or help!? Like EVERY OTHER VET DOES, even the front desk receptionist who does not have as much knowledge as the doctors will still show empathy compassion, and RESPECT. I called back to let Roy know he received vaccines at this office and wanted to ask if he could look him up in the system (other vets do this, which is why I asked). This time he didn't even say hello, just answered the phone. I have never been spoken to like this, I felt like I was arguing with a sibling! Highly dissatisfied with this service I almost can't believe there is someone with this nasty ugly attitude working with those poor babies or even answering a phone period. I WILL NEVER consider coming here again and I will be sure the people know about this unacceptable inconsiderate service. How can we trust you with our dogs if you have a disgusting “we can't help you attitude” on the phone
