Rowan Animal Clinic Reviews
Would recommend finding somewhere else to have your cat spayed. We were charged a ridiculous amount, charged for things we did not give permission nor ask for. Staff was extremely rude, questioning the previous vet in Lexington we had taken our cat to. Ended up finding another place to spay our second cat for less than half the price.. Staff didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable and were flat out rude.
Jun 24, 2025 · Sierra ByersDr. Rhod Lowe and Dr. Greg Lowe have been our pets' doctors for many, many years beginning with my Chow Brandy that was drugged, stolen from my yard, and put into a dog fighting ring. Fighting wasn't Brandy's nature and apparently the thieves didn't think so either. Thankfully, someone dropped her off at the end of our street and she walked back into our yard. This was after the Iredell Co. Sheriff's Department, aware of this ring, started searching for her. Brandy had pneumonia when she was returned, so we took her immediately to Dr. Lowe. He was recommended to us by a friend who had a farm of large animals, and he was spot-on with his recommendation. Dr. Lowe, and later his son Dr. Greg Lowe, became our vets for all of our animals. Under their care, our two precious house cats lived to be 20 and 18. We thought we weren't going to have more animals after they passed, afraid that they might outlive us and we'd have no one we knew to take them, but this past weekend someone apparently decided we needed a new one and dropped off a little stray tuxedo kitten in need of a home. Needless to say, we're making "Tux" an appointment with Dr. Greg Lowe tomorrow since the "original" Dr. Lowe does mainly large animals now (and that's assuming he hasn't retired since our last pets passed.) We're so thankful to have such great, caring veterinarians in our area, and happy to see the practice continue on with the next generation!
Jun 04, 2025 · Gaye ClineI've been taking my cats here for two years. I scheduled an early appointment a week or so ago for my cat's yearly exam and wrote it down in my phone calendar. As always, I double-checked the date and time with the woman on the phone before ending the call. When I walked in the door this morning and told the front desk my name, they just stared at me and told me I don't have any appointment. They did not offer any solutions, and said they were fully booked for the whole day. I woke up early and drove 20 minutes just for a huge waste of time after their error and I did not get an apology, they made it seem like it was my fault somehow? How vastly incompetent. I won't be going back here.
May 30, 2025 · Christy LongThis is Speck’s new vet since we just moved to the area. Great facility! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, on-time appointment. Would definitely recommend and will be back for all future visits.
Oct 03, 2024 · Josephine SpadaMy sincere thanks and deep appreciation to Dr. Lowe, the clinical staff and front desk staff during this most difficult time with the death of my sweet Lulu. The compassion and love they showed us was most heartfelt. My praises to all of you. God Bless you all.
