Eldersburg Veterinary Hospital Reviews
My pets were seen at Eldersburg Vet for years. Since pandemic, service has not been the same. None of our regular vets were there any longer. 3 different times I called, over the course of a year to try to get an emergency appt. for one of my dogs only to be told he couldn't be seen and if the problem continued, I should go to an emergency vet. After this third time, I was done - three strikes you are out. I emailed at 2:30 and 3:00 in the morning asking for an emergency appointment. I didn't hear back when they opened - called at 9am to be told no they couldn't fit him in but they could see him on Monday (this was Friday morning) and suggested I could take him to an emergency vet. We were able to get an appt. with a different local vet who cares about our dog and has fit him in several times now for his current medical issue. Be wary!
Apr 04, 2025 · Sandy McGregorI cannot express my appreciation and gratitude to Dr. James and the staff at the hospital. Being my first time here, they got me an appointment quickly and were up front with any and all costs. Which I was very pleased with and everything was explained throughly. The knowledge and skill was well represented when Dr. James explained options for my cats diagnosis.Unfortunately we couldn't save him and crossing the rainbow bridge was the most humane thing to do. It was a difficult decision to make on my part but when it was decided, it was carried out with with much care, compassion and dignity. I cannot thank everyone there enough for helping me with such a difficult time. I will be utilizing this hospital for my future needs with my pets and highly recommend others to do so as well.
Feb 03, 2025 · F J CougarEldersburg Vet Hospital went above and beyond for us. Our dog broke his nail at the end of the day and this was the only vet around who still has a doctor on duty. They took us right away and treated our dog with love and care, and is all fixed up now. I highly recommend this vet for their care and value.
Apr 05, 2025 · Katherine HathawayEveryone was very kind and very professional. They took the time to review her test results and followed up with a phone call the next day. I would highly recommend the personnel and location.
May 22, 2025 · Nancy AndersonMy boy is back! Honestly, this all was a team effort that included Eldersburg Vet Hospital, my pet (Ickus; a cat.) and God.Any team can be made or broken if one piece is deficient. This hospital played it’s part well and got my little man, the help he needed. He was looking very bad and upon calling, this hospital was able to see Ickus, same day. They hadn’t seen him since he was a wee kitten, but that held no bearing… They got him in and established a treatment plan for his kidney failure (that was determined at the appointment.)The other good thing was that everyone was kind and extremely helpful. This was a hard time and nothing could be guaranteed. Everyone was realistic and offered every option for Ickus.Ultimately, we took fluids home and put our boy on dialysis. We prayed and cared for our man. By the grace of God, our cat rebounded and it seems we get to keep him with us for a while longer. As Eldersburg Vet Hospital is where I adopted Ickus, 13 years ago, I have to say that it’s a wonderful place; Warm, well staffed and most helpful. We all pray that we’ll not need to visit for a time, but if ever the time comes, we know we can count on this wonderful place.Thank you.Amy, Rico, Ickus and Massy (other kitty)
