Mansfield Veterinary Health Center Reviews
First of all, it's ridiculous how no one contacted me to inform me that the surgery would no longer be performed. Furthermore, the clinic shaved her paw down and put an IV for no reason; if I had known sooner, I would have picken her up. For no apparent reason, my dog sat traumatized. I understand that you had to do an emergency procedure, but we took time off work to ensure that we could arrange for her to be dropped off and picked up. I had scheduled the surgery for March 3rd, but several technicians have since informed me that the bloodwork is only valid for a month prior to the procedure. On February 14th, I took Missy for her blood panel and pre-op examination. Since there was no doctor, you guys called me back and rescheduled for February 26. The clinic is now claiming that she won't be able to have surgery until April, by which time she will probably be in her heat cycle. Why would you sign the certificate if you couldn't complete the procedure? I contacted the clinic on 2/27/25 and was booked for 3/10/25 after expressing the urgency of this appointment and talking to the manager. I am beyond livid as this is the fifth time we had to reschedule. They now told me via email that they will not be able to perform the surgery for 3/10/25 and it will be rebooked to 3/18/25. I will update this review under the conditions that they make it right and the surgery is complete. This whole encounter has been rediculous and super unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anybody in the future.
Mar 10, 2025 · Blake0329I’m writing a positive review on behalf of our senior special needs dog Eddie, who passed away peacefully this summer. Eddie had a large inoperable tumor which we managed the best we could given the circumstances, he was rescued from the streets in terrible conditions, as a senior dog. That being said the main Vet is an older man who’s very quiet and doesn’t speak much, he isn’t very personable but knows his work. The vet nurses who cared for Eddie and helped sedate him for grooming sessions were always very attentive to Ed and cared a lot about his condition and health. They always wrapped him him cozy blankets to keep him safe and warm, and we’re very communicative about how he was doing during and after his grooming sessions. We understand it’s not easy to groom a dog with a tumor! We appreciate the care they gave him, which helped him live way longer than predicted. So thank you.
Nov 03, 2023 · Sasha AronsonDo not bring your pet here if you want an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Sohn missed very obvious hyperthyroidism symptoms in my cat and her delayed diagnosis may have caused secondary cardiac disease. She was diagnosed via 2nd opinion. He is also a very callous individual. It would be one thing to have a terrible personality as long as you were decent at your profession, but to be both professionally inept and have awful bedside manner is inexcusable.
Jan 30, 2025 · Jodi CusackMy dog is 14 1/2 years old and has been treated here since he was a puppy. I have had nothing but positive experiences here.
Jun 13, 2025 · Mary Kate BirchIt’s been a few years but seeing the reviews coming in, I need to tell both stories I have from here. The male doctor who most complain about spayed one of my dogs a very long time ago, around 2010. She has since passed away, but after her surgery she developed premature incontinence from a messed up spay surgery (confirmed by other vets). They said it wasn’t uncommon and because of her anatomy it could have just been an accident so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But this dog spent the rest of her life on this earth hiding from embarrassment after urinating in her sleep because she couldn’t control her bladder. I would have to find her and comfort her for ten minutes at minimum. She was NEVER punished for this as we knew it wasn’t her fault. Speed forward to a couple years ago I brought my service dog in to get neutered because it was close to home and there weren’t a lot of bad reviews yet. When I tell you I thought my dog was going to die I’m not joking. I was not let in to help my dog out of the hospital, I don’t know if that’s normal or not so that’s not the point, the staff put him in my car faster than I could get out and shut the door. They said he had minor swelling and gave me brief instructions. My dogs scrotum was the size of a softball. It was solid, it was black (he has pink skin) the incision was still bleeding, his scrotum was oozing red and he was shaking in pain. I called them in the middle of the afternoon the same day and they requested a photo of it. When I sent it they said it was normal and nothing was wrong and if we were really so concerned to go to the ER. We went to the er that night where he spent the night with the possibility of a second surgery on the table to completely remove the scrotum because of how damaged it was but with his condition at the time they said he had a high chance of not surviving the surgery as he wasn’t strong enough. When my dog finally started healing about 3 months later he too was having accidents in the house. This dog before his surgery could hold in the bathroom all day if you asked him too. He’s a pro at potty training and goes on command. He was embarrassed when he pottied in the house and when I told the vet he shrugged and said my dog has a behavioral problem and it’s not his fault. I seriously recommend to never get a spay or neuter surgery from this location if you care about your dogs life and comfort. They are lucky that my dog was able to regain control of his bathroom, because the thousands and thousands of dollars put into him for service work would have been gone if he didn’t.
