Albuquerque Equine Clinic Reviews
Needed right away and I was a first time client and they were at my house within in a short time. I will recommend them to everyone! Knowledgeable, friendly, professional and understood how I feel about my horse. Again, I highly recommend them. See you in the spring.
Sep 10, 2024 · Pauline BarelaThis place is amazing. The staff has always been kind and helpful. Dr. Dralle has helped me and everyone at our barn so many times. He is kind and patient, incredibly thorough and knowledgeable about all types of lameness. He explains his diagnosis and treatment options and is very honest. The equine community in New Mexico will be much worse off when he retires and I'm not sure who I'll be able to trust my horse with at that point.
Dec 06, 2023 · Kalie TenorioMy local vet told me I'd need to have my cryptorchid colt gelded at a facility with a surgical suite in case the other testicle wasn't within easy reach. I put a call in to Dr. Dralle and he called me back that evening. He was great. He thoroughly explained the situation with my horse and answered all my questions, and explained the difference in cost depending on what he found. He said it could be done anytime but would be best if I waited until after fly season was over. So that Fall I made the appointment and took my colt (20 mos.old) in to be gelded. The back lot was easy to get around in, had trailer parking, and the corral he was placed in was clean, safe, and had a cover. The facility was clean and clearly designed for horses, nice and open with safe flooring, an overhead lift system and a padded recovery room. It turned out that my colt's other testicle wasn't within easy reach and Dr. Dralle ended up having to put him under general anesthesia for surgery to remove the retained testicle. The woman at the front desk was great, very friendly and considerate, and I was thankful to have her to talk with while I anxiously waited. I'd never had to have a horse go under general anesthesia. After Dr. Dralle finished, he took me back and explained what he'd found, the procedure that had been necessary, and he showed me what he'd removed from my horse. Everything was very clean and professionally presented. The testicle that had been stuck was much smaller, rather flat and misshaped, just like in the photos I'd seen on the internet. He explained to me the aftercare my horse would need, his medications, the importance of walking him, and what to expect with his recovery. Plus Dr. Dralle gave me an instruction sheet to take home that had very well written details about every aspect of my horse's aftercare and healing. After spending the night for post-op observation, I took my gelding home where he made an easy and full recovery, without any concern or problems whatsoever. He's six now and doing great, a very happy and healthy horse with a wonderful disposition. A long-overdue thank you to Dr. Dralle and staff!!
