All Creatures Acupuncture Holistic Veterinary Therapies, led by Dr. Munzer, specializes in offering a range of complementary and alternative veterinary medicine (CAVM) approaches, often in conjunction with conventional care, to enhance the well-being of pets. While specific, exhaustive details of every single service are not always publicly listed, client testimonials clearly highlight the core therapies provided. These services focus on alleviating pain, improving mobility, and enhancing the overall quality of life for animals, particularly those with chronic conditions or age-related issues. The key services offered include:
- Acupuncture: This involves the insertion of ultra-thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate nerves, increase blood circulation, relieve muscle spasms, and release natural pain-relieving hormones. It's frequently used for chronic pain, arthritis, intervertebral disk disease, and neurological problems. Reviews specifically mention its effectiveness for hind-quarter problems and general mobility.
- Chiropractic Adjustments: This involves manual, gentle manipulations of joints, especially in the spinal column, to restore proper alignment and motion. Veterinary chiropractic care aims to improve gait, reduce pain, enhance flexibility, and optimize nervous system function. Clients note its use for mobility issues and "shaky nerves in the rear."
- B12 Shots: As mentioned in a client review, B12 shots are sometimes administered, likely to support nerve function, energy levels, and overall metabolic health, particularly beneficial for older or debilitated pets.
- Diet Modification: Holistic veterinary care often incorporates dietary changes to manage and resolve disease and discomfort, promoting overall wellness.
- Chinese and Western Herbal Therapy: The use of herbs to support the body's natural healing processes, address specific ailments, and complement other treatments.
- Wellness Care and Preventive Lifestyle Approaches: Beyond treating existing conditions, the practice also focuses on proactive measures to maintain pet health and prevent future issues.
- Pain Management: A core focus across all therapies, aiming to provide relief and improve comfort for pets suffering from chronic or acute pain.

All Creatures Acupuncture Holistic Veterinary Therapies Reviews
I am so grateful that All Creatures Accupuncture is nearby and AMAZING! Oir RubyDee has since passed but thanks to Dr. Munzer her last years...she could play and run and walk without pain.I now take TheodoreKennedy foe accupuncture and B12 shot (sometimes chiropractic adjustment). He is 12 and his nerves in the rear are shaky and mobility is not always without pain. After his session, we get home and he is tired so he sleeps deep. The next day.... he feels so much better!!!!! He loves Fr. Munzer (AND the treats he gets while there)!
May 24, 2022 · Sarah NovakI have a fourteen-plus year old Weirmarner who started having mobility problems about eighteen months ago. In July of 2018 he started having chiropractic treatments and that September we added laser treatments. He basically maintained where he was, which was certainly an improvement to the degradation I was seeing, but I really did not see that he was "improving". In July of 2019 we started acupuncture and chiropractic treatments with Dr. Munzer based upon the recommendation of one of my neighbors who stopped me on the street and said he noticed Rockett was struggling. He then explained that they were taking their twelve year old dog to All Creatures, she was having back and hind-quarter problems, and have seen great improvements. That was enough for me! As I said we started in July with weekly treatments and are now going every other week. And yes, not only have I seen improvements but my neighbors have commented as well. When I told Dr. Munzer this he said that is what he likes to hear, positive feedback from third parties and skeptical husbands.I continue to see improvements and truly believe they are due to the treatments he is receiving from Dr. Munzer. I cannot recommend his practice and his kind and effective treatments more. And the liver treats certainly help as well!
Nov 26, 2019 · Brian FolsterAfter only one session, 13-year-old Stealth obviously feels better. She's purring more and is more affectionate, snuggling up against my knees. She was not doing that before when she was feeling poorly. She's also been more active, bounding around like a kitten. And her appetite is greatly improved , which is of utmost importance for a chronic kidney disease kitty. I definitely plan to bring her back for more sessions because the improvement is astounding.
May 31, 2023 · Valerie TrumpsMy dachshund, Moses, was diagnosed with Cushings disease. Traditional veterinary protocols to treat Cushings Disease were potentially dangerous to his health, plus the medications to be used could potentially be fatal, so I sought out a holistic vet. I found Dr Munzer and have been taking Moses to see him for the past few months. The results have been nothing short of astonishing. Moses is non-sympatic for Cushings now, his belly is no longer swollen, he doesn't urinate inappropriately and his thirst is normal. I was considering having his blood checked for liver levels but he's doing so well I decided not to. He's a normal dachshund now!Thank you Dr Munzer!
Sep 07, 2017 · Jim ThomasOur 12 1/2 year old Newfie has suffered progressively from arthritis and at this old age was barely able to lift up his hind end and/or walk. It broke our hearts. He was sleeping almost the entire day and staying more and more by himself. He also was becoming less and less aware that he had to defecate and would do so as he was sleeping. He would awaken and be so terribly upset by this. We were looking for something that would help him be more comfortable in his old age and provide him with at least a better quality of life for however long he had left. Enter Dr. Michael Munzer/All Creatures Acupuncture! And wonder of wonders, he was in Bucksport, Maine. Who knew?? Zeus started receiving chiropractic care, acupuncture and dietary adjustments from Dr. Munzer on November 2, 2018. We could not believe the difference. Even my skeptical husband was amazed. Zeus will not get any younger, but he is walking with far, far less difficulty; alertly engaging with us and our other two dogs most of the day; going outside to defecate; eating his meals standing up and generally moving around and getting up with less stiffness. We are so happy with our decision to take Zeus to Dr. Munzer. The only regret we have is that we didn't find out about All Creatures Acupuncture sooner. Thanks, Dr. Munzer.
