★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could give zero stars I would. I'd like to start off saying their vet techs and doctors are spectacular. I've been using them for 25 years. I will now be going elsewhere. My pup has not been being herself on and off for a couple weeks. it seemed like it was hip issues as she's had hip issues her whole life. Yesterday she wouldn't eat and had a hard time walking. I tried to reach out to Animal Care Hospital between 12-1 and each time it seemed their phones were off and directed to leave a message. I drove into their facility because I felt this was getting urgent. They told me they were too busy and the earliest they could get us in was 3:10 the next day. When I got back home my pup was getting worse and now drooling on top of not walking. At this point we started searching for emergency options. We decided to drive to Plainfield. Once we got in the car, I called Animal Care Hospital again and let them know this was absolutely and emergency and again I was told they are too busy. Not once did the front desk consult with a vet tech. By the time we made the hour drive (traffic was terrible) and made it to Animal Medical Center in Plainfield, they noticed right away it was an emergency and took her back immediately for diagnosis. They determined she had a substantial internal bleed. They were not sure exactly the cause but they felt strongly it was a tumor on one of her organs. They tested her blood and determined she had too much blood loss to even survive a surgery without a blood transfusion. They did not have the blood on site to do the transfusion. By this time my pup was on oxygen and barely conscious. We really had no choice but to put her down. She was 9 years old and 1 month. Too young. Possibly if we were to get her in sooner the situation turns out differently, we have no way of knowing that but I do know that by the time we got her to see a vet, she had lost too much blood to survive a surgery. These multiple calls to Animal Care Hospital, which I had been using for 25 years, were all made during normal business hours. This type of emergency should've had every attempt to address and not tell me "sorry, we are too busy today"
August 20 · Jason BrownWe have a particularly spicy cat...Who, since getting fixed at a totally seperate clinic, has been extra spicy towards people that are not us... This was our first time bringing our spicy boy and his brother anywhere since this event and spicy boy put on one great show. The veterinarian and the tech were phenomenal! Kind, professional, and empathized patiently with him and his knock out performance. We had strong second hand embaressment because of his behavior, but they were so kind and loved him all the same. We left feeling relief. He has been gifted special candy for his next visit... but more importantly I would never take him anywhere else. This is a great facility! So happy we found them in a random Google search! I'd recommend them to anyone!
August 08 · That Green GirlWe took our listless sick 2 year old King Charles Cavalier, Sophie, to Animal Care Hospital of Morris. I am still amazed at the professionalism, courtesy, and kindness we were shown by everyone there. We were seen almost immediately and Sophie was thoroughly checked over and blood was drawn and tested, The Doctor and technician patiently and clearly explained everything and answered all of our questions. We left with 2 probiotics and one antibiotic. Sophie was markedly improved by evening and seemed like her old self by morning. To top it off the Veterinarian, Dr. Nicky Polson-Meade, called 2 mornings later to check how Sophie was doing. In my opinion that is top of the line care for our fur baby.(My sister-in-law was with me and was so impressed with the Doctor that she plans to switch her pets to the Animal Care Hospital in Morris.)
June 28 · Becky MufflerDr. Nikky is amazing. She follows up to see how things are going for my cat, and she's very caring and thoughtful. Very involved and informative. Highly recommend. I will be driving the 30 minutes from Ottawa from now on, just to go here. Front desk staff and techs are amazing as well, Julie was awesome.
November 13 · Emma GraceEveryone is so nice and caring and they really take the time with your pets. Also when there's an emergency they really try their best to get you in the same day which is great. Love the staff here!!!
