Animal Dermatology Clinic - Springfield Reviews
I had a terrible experience at this place. They charged me almost $600 for a 15-minute visit, during which they barely did anything for my dog. Despite my concerns, they refused to apply ear drops to my dogs infected ear and were incredibly unprofessional when I questioned the effectiveness of the prescribed medication, even going so far as to say, “You’re not a scientist.”A vet should be compassionate, knowledgeable, and willing to address concerns—not dismissive and rude. On top of that, the cost was outrageous for the lack of actual care provided. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who wants a vet that genuinely listens and prioritizes their pet’s well-being 🎤

Dec 12, 2024 · Christine ZabelThis is a wonderful canine specialty practice. My experience with the doctor and his team has been top notch. I'm shocked by the couple of bad reviews left here, but a main point of dissatisfaction seems to be cost. Of course, there's a price for quality and specialized care. What would you expect?? If you had to pay out of pocket/without insurance for human health care, you'd say that was expensive too. So while the services and treatments might be expensive, this practice provides high-quality allergy and dermatology care. And as with everything in life.. you get what you pay for.
Jun 01, 2020 · Identity Content MarketingDr Hanson changed my dogs life. I know that may sound extravagant but it’s true. I have a rescue from New Mexico. The second we moved to the east coast he started ripping the padding off his paws to the point where they were becoming infected with bacteria and fungus. I was having to care for his wounds and he could hardly walk on them. He was constantly getting ear infections as well. I went to our regular vet and multiple ER vets and they kept putting him on the same antibiotics & anifungals. Neither told me to go see a dermatologist for animals. I didn’t even know it existed! One day at work I was complaining about my dogs symptoms to a friend and she said why haven’t you taken him to that allergy vet in Springfield? I immediately called and booked an appointment with Dr Hanson. He allergy tested him and naturally my dog came back highly allergic to almost everything in the East coast 🥴. Within 2.5 weeks we started him on allergy injections specially made for him. They include all his allergens. We desensitized him and he’s 90% better now. He will stay on these allergy vaccines for life (which are every 21 days) but it is so worth it. He is back to his goofy self. Thanks Dr Hanson and your wonderful team over at your office!
