VCA Town Center Animal Hospital Reviews
I called for my dogs ear infection in one ear, needing ear drops, and was quoted $160 for cytology and $100 for ear cleaning plus god knows what they’d charge for the actual meds. Didn’t even bother asking. Are they for real? Avoid like the plague unless you want all your money to go to greedy corporate criminals who also don’t pay their employees a fair wage. And before you say don’t go to an animal hospital, they were offering waived exam fees to bring your pet in. It’s just a bait and switch to get you there then rape you if money. Gross place.
Jun 26, 2025 · Skylar FeinbergMy family and i are all very grateful for the fantastic care we received with our dog and our 2 cats. We are sad to be leaving the wonderful staff due to financial reasons, but i do highly recommend them. They helped us learn to give proper care for our senior pup who passed last year and have always been so kind to our anxious cats which led our younger boy to be very vocal and content to explore during their last visit.
Sep 21, 2023 · Nat Rodriguez DazaLove VCA Annandale and highly recommend reaching out to them for your pet's health care needs, whether it be an annual health check-up or more. Over the past 7 years, our cat Frankie was seen by Dr. Paradise, who we loved, as well as the entire staff, too! They always clearly communicated visit details and helped answer any questions that came to mind. Dr. Paradise was helpful and informative in determining what Frankie's health needs were at each visit, particularly in his last few years as an elderly cat (12-15 years). When it came time for Frankie to move on, they were extremely accommodating and supportive; could not have asked for better support during such a difficult time. Should we find ourselves with another pet in the future, we'll be returning to VCA Annandale, again.
Feb 21, 2023 · Christine RyanAmazing staff extremely knowledgeable and caring! Always helpful when my fur babies are sick. Very helpful in giving me written scripts so I can order my pets chronic medications. I've seen both Dr. Paradise and Dr. Henigan never had a bad experience with either. Would highly recommend to others.
Oct 03, 2024 · Jamie BakerIf I could give zero stars, I would.DO NOT GO TO THIS VCA LOCATION if you are for going for an emergency. I should have questioned it when my normal VCA hospital didn't have any openings and others around the area. It should have made me stop and wonder why this place had numerous openings.I don't often give reviews but I am still enraged over the visit so felt the need to warn the general public.I have never experienced such horrible service. Here is why you should NOT go thereThey do NOT listen. We explained multiple times about our 12 year old Bernese Mountain dog that we were there to get blood work so we could make a life/death decision. Instead we were given a "plan" to the tune of a few thousand dollars including but not limited to diet dog food, allergy pills, pain pills, x rays, vaccinations, blood work oh and then - if all came back negative then we would be referred to a behavioral specialist!!! If they had listened when we told them this was end of life but no - they want to lecture about the dog being overweight.WHY????? We are making an end of life decision. And when I declined the allergy pills guess what, I got home and opened the bag and yep they gave me the allergy pills and charged me $100 for them. I am livid over this. I am at fault for not reviewing the invoice while I was paying the bill but in my defense I had just helped my husband carry our 95 pound dog out to the car. They do NOT CARE.My dog can't walk and the floors in this place are slick with zero carpeting. From the moment we walked in my dog was sprawled out and unable to get up. Do you think ANYONE got up to help? They sat and watched us. Eventually we were brought a bath towel to use to help us hoist her up.And after we declined everything but blood work and pain pills, we were given a urine sample cup to return a urine sample. THE DOG ISNT EATING or DRINKING. When I said it would be impossible - it was suggested I bring my dog back in - excuse me? NEVER AGAIN will my dog see the inside of that animal hospital again. She can't walk! oh and they wanted the sample within 14 days - again we are making a life or death decision.I am horrified over the visit and the $800 bill - they are after one thing - the $$$. They do not care about animals. And to add injury - my sweet girl is about to cross the rainbow bridge.
