I was highly impressed with Dr. Hall and all the staff at Animal Vision Center of VA. My sweet 11 yo chocolate lab had a serious eye infection. We went through 2 emergency vets and her primary vet with no resolution. I didn’t even know dog ophthalmology was a thing but boy am I glad Google sent me their way. After explaining to the receptionist on the phone what was going on with my fur baby and the extent of how bad her eye was they fit me in last minute on their lunch break. When I arrived I barely waited to see Dr. Hall. Even though it was her lunchtime she sat in the floor with my baby and gently looked at her eye. I was so relieved by how patient and caring she was with my sweet girl. The vet tech also was very patient and compassionate. Dr Hall did what she could that day to try and save my girls eye and hope for the best outcome to gain back some kind of vision in that eye. The next evening my girl was not doing any better and I was very concerned. When I called them back they fit me in the very next day before they even opened. Dr Hall again came in very quickly and agreed that the best thing was to remove the eye. They had their surgeon come in for emergency surgery that day. The surgeon called me personally after the surgery and told me how everything went and allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed. What impressed me most about this facility was their patience and compassionate manner. It translated from phones calls to every single staff member. I feel this is rare this day in time and I believe they need the recognition they deserve for consistently making me feel like my sweet girl mattered to them and that she wasn’t just a dog. Thank you Dr. Hall and all the faculty at Animal Vision Center of Virginia for saving my sweet girl and treating her like family! - Megan Balderson
