Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
This is the first Banfield location where I’ve had an issue. I’ve visited multiple Banfield locations across Florida and Georgia and have never been told my dog had a problem with leaving the kennel. At this particular Banfield, I was informed that my dog refused to leave the kennel, and the vets “didn’t feel comfortable” handling him. They prescribed medication, which was supposed to help him (it worked the first two times). However, the third time—despite my dog being calm when dropped off after taking the medicine—they called and said they couldn’t see him and that I needed to pick him up. They then told me that moving forward, he would need to be sedated to be seen, at a cost of $150.Later, when I called to schedule his rabies and distemper vaccinations, I asked if I could be in the room with him to see if he would act differently. They refused again, saying the “team was uncomfortable” and that for their safety, sedation would be necessary.I called another Banfield location, and my dog got his shots without issue. It really felt like they were more interested in taking my money than providing proper care. I do not recommend this Banfield.
Feb 20, 2025 · Sofía Serrano-KirkOn yesterday I dropped my 4 month old cavapoo off at 8:45 for her vaccinations. Typically she is done by 11:15-12:00. When I hadn’t received a call I called around 1:30 to see if she was ready. I was told it would just be a little longer. By 3:45 I went to the location to see what was going on. I was told by the receptionist Jacob that they were busy with sick appointments and were running behind on scheduled appointments but she would only be a few more minutes. After about 10 minutes of waiting the vet Dr. Gibbs comes out to tell me that Nola threw up so she wasn’t going to vaccinate her because her immune system was already stressed.I would have to reschedule. When I asked questions about her being there all day and no one informed me that she was sick, when she became sick because she was perfectly fine when I dropped her off. The doctor responded maybe it was stress because of the visit. I said well Nola was excited and jumping up for the vet tech to pick her up as she always does. I said I don’t understand how she is all of a sudden sick and hasn’t been vaccinated after all day of being here. Dr. Gibbs shrugged her shoulders and walked away to the back. The vet tech then brings out Nola and informs me that she was given the Benadryl injection even though she wasn’t vaccinated. After I asked why would she be given Benadryl if you claimed she was sick and could not be vaccinated Dr. Gibbs came back out only to say that it happens sometimes but watch her in case she seems lethargic or throws up again. Well you gave her Benadryl for no reason so how will I know if she is sleeping all day because of that or for some other reason. Dr. Gibbs was very unapologetic and just walked off again. Nola will not be going back to this location. I only gave 2 stars because the receptionist Jacob is a real sweetheart. He is always nice and loves to hold and cuddle Nola.

Jan 14, 2024 · Katrina VenturaOur poor pug woke up abruptly with a nasty infection on a Sunday and was so sick. We were being told by the local urgent cares and pet emergency rooms that it could be around 4-8 hrs+ for the wait, possibly even longer and we would be expected to wait with her in the car until she could be seen. As a last ditch attempt, we went online and found an appointment slot that was open at Haygood Banfield and we were so grateful. The staff was very kind and had her in and out so quickly. A special thanks to Judy and Yvonne for their compassion and professionalism during what might have been a really long, painful, and uncomfortable day for our furry friend. Our girl was back to bed resting in no time, and she's feeling much better now. Highly recommend this location. Thank you so much Judy and Yvonne!
