Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I will be saying goodbye to Banfield after today’s appointment. The vets are great & kind, and the usual girl at the desk is a delight but I waited almost an hour for a scheduled appointment for a nail trim. When I made the appointment I was told it would take 5 minutes. They are severely understaffed. 4 of us waiting in the lobby and not even acknowledged. Phone ringing off the hook, one person working the desk, asked help from the back and no one came. Please get some extra staff at the front. I will happily pay more for less wait times and more staff.Oh wait. Carissa at the desk just came out to tell me it was going to be another 20 mins. I told her I would be leaving and we would not be returning. I also told her she was wonderful at her job and it’s too bad she doesn’t have more support. She would have no trouble finding a job at another place and get the help she’s asked for.
Jun 30, 2025 · Kara F. SmithMy family and dog love Dr. B and the staff at this location. Every time we bring Bly in she gets so much love and attention. Thanks for all you do Dr. B and staff! Keep it up!
Apr 09, 2025 · Nicole EvansMy Penelope was in a lot of pain on a Friday afternoon. Dr. Griffin stayed open past closing time to talk to me, and reassured me that she would be ok. Dr.Griffin saw Penelope first thing Monday morning, and called me about an hour later. She took her time and talked me through everything. I was sure I was going to lose my sweet girl, but Dr.Griffin took extra special care of her. Penelope and is now at home, sleeping soundly.
Nov 04, 2024 · Jennifer Whitlock _ Staff - BarwellRdESThey have had rude front desk associates, have continued to give the run around and this is the only location I’ve been to where they’ve prescribed medicine that didn’t improve my pets condition. Wasted my time and money. Just disappointing location. Will never come back!!
Jul 07, 2025 · Cassandra Smith*** IF YOUR PET IS HAVING AN EMERGENCY DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE ***My pup is a 1 year old and has been going here since I got her. So I thought I could trust Banfield with an emergency after her spay incision opened due to a hernia. I called them and they told me to come in immediately. I brought her in and within 5 min they then turned me away because it was 3:30 and they closed at 6. They told me to come in and wasted valuable time in a dangerous situation. My dogs intestines were literally hanging out and she was bleeding away and they just told me to go to the urgent vet across the street. They didn’t even call ahead or check if they could close her up. They didn’t even let me know that my pup had a hernia. The urgent vet that I went to for the first time had more concern and care than the vet I’ve been going to for almost a year. The urgent vet bandaged her, looked at her, let me know it was a hernia and called all the hospitals for me , found the closest and cost effective one and let them know that I was on the way. Thankfully my dog is okay and it is no thanks to Banfield. But I’m sure they got to leave at 6 so that’s what matters…. They also said they’d call in a few days to check on my pup and I never heard from them again. This couldn’t have gone horribly wrong. Be weary of coming here with any emergencies. They are negligent! They even gave me medication once that I needed to monitor her for possible complications due to a gene defect and they didn’t even tell me or make note of it in her file . A different Banfield location caught it and was very concerned about it. Not to mention …. I got my dog back after her intial spay with fecal matter all over her paws and fur . They just handed her back to me like that. This Banfield needs to do better …. Negligence all around .
