Jun 25, 2025 · paul archambaultThank you to Lauren, Denise, and the rest of the staff. I was concerned because my boy is never left anywhere and I figured he would be terrified. As I checked him in, he wanted out desperately, but when Denise came to get him, he liked her and walked in with no hesitation. As soon as I walked in to pick him up, they brought him right out. He was happy and had a smile on his face all the way home. The price for the echocardiogram was significantly less than I had expected.
May 10, 2025 · Edward KetterBay State was so welcoming to Charlie on the evening of 2/3. Ava greeted us with a smile within a couple of minutes from arriving. Charlie needed oxygen right away and then he stayed for two more nights. All the doctors and staff went above and beyond. They kept me updated on Charlie’s progress and sent morning photos of Charlie with an update. We were very please how proactive and loving they were to our boy. We appreciate them so much! Thank you Bay State!!
Feb 20, 2025 · Lisa CrencaLast night my wife and I had to bring our 13 year old cat in for an emergency. We knew he wasn't doing well and expected the worst. Every member of the staff that we interacted with was extremely polite and compassionate, which is exactly what you want when your family member is sick. Our veterinarian Taylor quickly assessed our fur baby Monk's condition and came to speak with us. It was, as we feared, but suspected, too severe to be treated. Instead of pushing us to spend thousands of dollars (which we would've if he could have bounced back to normal), she was straight forward about the nature of his condition and his unfortunate prognosis. We made the extremely painful (for us) decision to end our baby's suffering. We were allowed to stay with him through the entire process, and were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye, and grieve both before, and after the procedure. These people genuinely seem to care for the animals that are brought to them, and they handle emotional pet parents very compassionately. Nobody ever wants to need their services, but when you do, I assure you, this team is exactly who you want involved in your darkest hour.Another little thing that most other emergency vets don't have that was absolutely huge for us, they offer an alternate exit from the building. So if you've lost your loved one, you don't need to walk back out through the waiting room. There is a separate exit where you don't need to see or speak to another human being. I never knew how badly I needed that option, because it has never been an option anywhere else I've been in these scenarios.Thank you Bay State for making an extremely painful experience just a little bit more bearable. We hope to never need your services again, but if we do, it's comforting to know that you're there. We included a few photos of Monk from when he was happy and healthy because you only got to meet him at his worst moment. We thought you deserved to see some of his best.Thank you again for everything you do.
Oct 13, 2024 · BrandonThey prey on people’s vulnerability, fear and misery. What a shameful business. Each time a nurse tech gives a dog pills (at 2pm, not 2am) it’s hundreds of dollars. Thousands by the time you leave. Oh, and in our case they were unable to diagnose our dogs problem. What should be a beautiful service is ultimately sickening.
