Absolutely the nicest people that follow up and give up to date information every 10-12 hours. They’re very communicative about what’s happening with one’s pet. One feels like they’re there the whole time along side your pet because of this excellent frequent information. There’s a synergy amongst the doctors that comes across in phone calls, text messages and in person conversations. It doesn’t matter which doctor is caring for your pet, they’re all professional in their sincere communication. It takes a lot of work to have a team so cohesive and uniform.

We used the Golden Valley, MN, Blue Pearl on July 4th weekend—of course, right?—when my dog, Archie was limping, off and on. Trying to find an available vet on July 5th is intimidating, but Blue Pearl did not disappoint. They were outstanding—just above and beyond my earlier experiences with them.First, I called them. They explained the cost for Archie to be seen, that they would make sure you approve any additional charges, and the current wait time based on triage of the pets on-site. Additionally, they explained that after Archie’s vitals were taken, there might be a 3-5 waiting period during which we could leave until the vet phoned us.This last bit was new from the last time we used Blue Pearl—and a huge convenience for us.I told her we would bring Archie and —over the the phone—they started a chart for him. That is such a nice, caring touch! It makes you feel like “we got you” —and there was the chart when we arrived 45 mins later.Everything went just as they promised, and the staff was OUTSTANDING. Very, very, very attentive and caring. They have a very large, bright waiting room with coffee, tea, kids table and toys, and vending machines (soda, snacks). They even have fluffy dog beds for your pets while you wait!! Let’s face it—when you are worried about your pet’s health, an ER is the best place to be, but not a place you WANT to be. Their waiting room acknowledges this by offering everyone some creature comfort.Archie is fine now and was diagnosed with “luxating patella”—a grade 2 dislocating kneecap. I spoke to the vet for at least 10 minutes and he gave me a very thorough overview and answered questions for me. We were sent home with clear instructions and pain meds for the next week. We were charged the minimum visit rate for this plus the cost of the Rx ($314). Honestly, I thought that was very reasonable for the time, attention and care we received from Blue Pearl.Highly, highly recommend if you are ever in a similar situation with your pet!

I would recommend this hospital for anyone who wants quick and loving care for your pet. I arrived late around 11:45pm with my cat Tinkerbell and Kevin the vet seen her right away. Molly and the guy at the front desk were very good at communicating the details of what was to be expected and broke down the costs. The staff was caring and prompt. The rooms were also really clean. After we left about a hour later Tinkerbell was up and playing. Thank you again to everyone who was up late and provided excellent service! 10/10

I brought my cat in to this BluePearl ER after she became sick due to eating part of her cat tree. I initially went to an ER hospital in Minneapolis, but did not have a great experience there. They saw how sick my cat was and still said I'd have to wait 2-3 hours for her to be seen. So, I decided to try BluePearl. Best decision I made that day! The front desk took one look at my cat and took her back immediately to get checked out. They knew something was seriously wrong and worked to get her stabilized. They determined surgery was necessary and helped me figure out my options. The receptionists and vet techs were so kind and understanding during the stressful situation I was in, giving me lots of time to decide what I wanted to do while taking great care of my cat. I ended up having to wait several hours for them to finish doing some procedures to her (it is also a busy place and they had lots of patients), but their waiting room is so cozy and inviting that it makes you feel just a tiny bit more at ease during the wait-time. One of the techs offered me a charger because my phone was dying. Just so sweet. The clinic is also near multiple restaurants and a Starbucks - that's just a plus!Ultimately, BluePearl ended up referring me to Mission Animal Hospital for surgery the next day and my little girl is thriving now. During her recovery post-op, I had a lot of questions about meds and such that I couldn't call Mission for (they have normal business hours), and so I called BluePearl several times at nighttime, and every single person who I talked to (both receptionists and medical staff) were kind, helpful, and informative.In conclusion, I really want to give a shout out to one of the techs who talked to me that night, and I am kicking myself that I didn't get her name. But she was one of the kindest people on earth to me in that moment, where I didn't know if my cat would make it or if I could pay for the care. She was the one to let me use a charger I mentioned above. Her calming presence and informative explanation of the costs was just insanely comforting. She was so understanding and I will always remember her.For any ER situations, I would definitely recommend BluePearl.
