I can't thank the team at BluePearl enough! I had recently rescued a sweet female cat, June B. Jones ❤️, and was surprised to find out she was pregnant. After she gave birth to four adorable kittens, I noticed one of them had trouble with his back legs. It turned out he had Swimmer Syndrome.As a college student with limited funds, I was overwhelmed and unsure how to help him. When I called BluePearl, the staff was so kind, understanding, and supportive. One of the vets took the time to guide me through an affordable treatment plan with step-by-step instructions on how to help correct the deformity at home.Thanks to their compassion and expertise, within just 2–3 months, my little guy was walking, running, and playing with his siblings like nothing had ever been wrong. I ended up keeping him, and now he's a semi-pro at parkour! 😆BluePearl truly went above and beyond. Their care made a life changing difference. Not just for this kitten, but for me too. After calling around to 10+ veterinarians looking for someone who would see a very lethargic chicken and being told "no" by all of them, BluePearl was able to schedule us in for a same-day appointment. Dr. Mueller was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient given the vagueness of the symptoms we were seeing, and our vet tech was so sweet and gentle with our tiny 3 month old chicken. The prices were also reasonable, much less than I was expecting. Even with the recent uptick in chicken ownership, it's still very difficult to find a veterinarian to see them, much less a good one, so there are no words to describe how much I appreciate the staff here. He is doing so much better today and I think he will get through whatever bug found him! Thank you so much.

My vet consulted with Dr. Reiman on a potential mast cell tumor diagnosis. I called and made an appointment for the abdominal ultrasound recommended by that consult. I changed my work schedule to take the first available appointment almost 2 weeks later. They then called the morning of that appointment saying they could not do the abdominal ultrasound I called to schedule because my appointment was too late in the day. I was initially PISSED but kept the appointment with Dr. Reiman for a consultation only. I honestly thought they were trying to stretch my appointment to two separate appointments to double charge me.When I arrived for the appointment, her technician (I don’t recall her name) gave me an honest apology for the miscommunication on the expectations for the appointment and took my Leia back to see Dr. Reiman.Upon meeting with Dr. Reiman after my interaction with her technician, I realized my cynicism was unfounded. They were both fantastic and clearly cared only about my sweet Leia’s well-being.The appointment wasn’t cheap…but it was worth it.

Please do not take your loved ones to BluePearl. Don’t make the same mistake I did.My heart is still too heavy so I’m not sure how much detail I can handle writing. I will update this post in the future in that case.It’s impossible to tell if they actually care or if they’re trying to get thru patients list. I was rushed out the door after simply being told it’s nothing to worry about. They said they’ll get me some meds for him and it’ll clear right up. Said the ultrasound results were very clear. They didn’t even go over any of the results with me. Just said it’s clearly a simple infection and the meds will clear it right up. They didn’t even make it seem like I would need to come back. The next vet I saw looked at the bloodwork BluePearl did and immediately recommended hospitalization. After finding out I would hospitalize him they didn’t even want to run their own tests cuz they didn’t want to waste time. Only after finding out there was a waiting list were they going to update the bloodwork for the hospital to have. They didn’t end up doing that because the vet at the hospital called back and they thought the numbers were so severe the day of his original bloodwork that I should just get him there asap. It was at the hospital they told me about the pockets of blood on his liver they saw from BluePearls ultrasound. Days had passed and I had no idea he had pockets of blood on his liver. I listened to BluePearls brief and nonchalant assessment that I paid over $2000 for and it cost my cat his precious life.I know sometimes you may not have an option because of an emergency. But if you have the time. Please go elsewhere.
