Central City Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For residents and agricultural producers throughout Central City and the surrounding Nebraska counties, the **Central City Veterinary Clinic** has long stood as a cornerstone of reliable and compassionate animal health care. Established in 1954, this facility has decades of experience serving the diverse needs of the region, from family pets to essential farm livestock. The clinic operates as a comprehensive **mixed animal practice**, meaning they are fully equipped and expertly staffed to handle the health and wellness of companion animals (dogs, cats, pocket pets) as well as the needs of production animals (bovine, equine, small ruminants).
The clinic's commitment to the community is reflected in its dedication to continuous improvement. As noted by long-time clients, the practice operates out of a **new clinic** that allows them to provide more extensive and modern services than ever before. This emphasis on updated facilities and technology ensures that animals receive contemporary, high-quality care, whether for a routine vaccination or a complex diagnostic procedure. The team, featuring experienced veterinarians like Dr. David Lee, focuses not just on treatment, but on **client education**, actively teaching pet owners and farmers how to take proactive steps for their animals' health to promote long-term wellness and reduce the need for frequent, costly visits.
Central City Veterinary Clinic prides itself on forming lasting, trusting relationships with its clients. The sentiment is perfectly captured in customer reviews, where the doctors are described as highly knowledgeable, helpful, and, in several critical cases, life-savers for beloved family pets. This blend of cutting-edge service in a new facility and old-fashioned, personalized care makes them a trusted partner in animal health across the Nebraska region.

- I have been with CC Vet Clinic for over 20 years. I have seen many doctors in that 20 years. The current doctors are very knowledgeable and they teach you how to do things to take care of your pets so you dont have to keep going back. The new clinic is awesome and they can provide more services that they could not before. Thank you for all you do. August 01 · Rhonda Hilderbrand
- I had an emergency with my dod and no one at the clinic would help us. They said is was because we had never been there before. We just moved back to CC not too long ago. They do NOT care about the animals. If your pet is in need of medical attention do NOT go there, unless you’re related to someone that works there. Go to Aurora. November 28 · Tracy A
- We had our first visit this week after moving cross-country. We found everyone to be very friendly, and welcoming and answered all my questions. After having the same vet for 30 years, finding a practice I feel comfortable with on the first try is great! July 30 · Stephanie Sanders
- We’ve been clients of the Central City Vet Clinic for a few years, trusting them with the care of both our sheep and cats. While we’ve always appreciated the ease of getting medication refills for our sheep, the experience has been different with our cat’s care. Every time he needs a refill for his eye drops or steroid shots, we’re required to bring him in for an exam, even if it’s only been a few months since his last visit. While I understand the importance of regular checkups, this policy feels excessive when knowing his condition and especially given our ongoing relationship with the clinic. Additionally, phone calls are often left unreturned, which makes managing our pets’ care more difficult. They will quickly contact the pharmacy to decline a refill, yet without any direct communication to us. This isn’t the level of care I expect or want for my animals. I hope they consider a more flexible approach for clients and improve responsiveness. October 30 · Ali Anderbery
