I have taken my cats to Charlottesville Cat Care Clinic for 25 years now, and they are amazing, the best I've ever worked with, and as I lived in three other states before moving here, had dealt with a number of vets before. We have been through a wide spectrum of issues with our cats, and they have met each one with great skill and empathy. One of our cats was extremely difficult to handle, and they always met the risky challenges of working with him with patience and good humor, and loved him anyway. Another was painfully shy, and they were incredibly gentle with her, and when severe health issues led to making a difficult end of life decision for her, they were wonderful helping me and her through the process. We recently had to do the same for another after a quickly escalating terminal health issue, and their knowledge, compassion, and patience, (including the willingness to spend lots of time talking to us after hours to sort through both medical issues, answer many questions, and discuss treatments that could be carried out at the very advanced clinic in town who has an actual oncologist on staff, etc, as well as their honestly about making the right choices for our boy, even painful ones). They were nothing short of amazing during the 3 weeks between diagnosis and losing him. They have always been extremely responsive to all of my concerns and questions, and take a lot of time both in person and by phone to talk things over.Dr. Mahanes, Stacy, Shawn, the other vet techs, and the rest of the front and back of house staff obviously love cats, care deeply about their clients, and are dedicated to providing the best care in the most supportive, kind, and friendly environment that I have ever run across in a veterinary clinic. I couldn’t recommend them more! - Raven Hill Jewelry
