★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- We’ve lived in five states and had lots of puppies, so we have a LOT experience in this arena. Unfortunately, Chelsea Animal Hospital is just… meh. The seem sweet and all, and it’s busy, two positive points. Being new to the area, we brought our dog in for a potential allergy situation. The waiting room smelled a little, but pet accidents happen. Our tech remarked her own dogs are on high doses of Trazidone, and she recommended our 30 pound pup try 100 mg to calm her down before grooming. Trazodone is a prescription medication used to treat depressive disorder. The potential side effects seem less than pleasant. The Veterinarian finally arrived, and recommended a $97 shot of some antihistamine for two months before just trimming problem areas, which was unsettling. I suppose nobody else questions this person, because they seemed to leave a room in a huff when we decided not to do it. Sure, maybe it works, but why risk jacking your baby up with drugs before determining if she really needs them? We inquired about annual plans but there was some confusion about plan benefits. Seems to be yet another business coasting on lucky success. Our last vet spoiled us by being completely transparent, thorough and communicative, always clearly explaining all our options - before meds. We’ll probably try another vet or two before returning here. June 12 · Chuck Fresh
- Liz has extraordinary bedside manner and she was super helpful, communicative and she was making our dog calm the entire time. She was very nice and professional.Dr. Erik (vet) is also great and always helps us with our pets to make them feel better when we take them with any issues.Really friendly place to go with your fur babies, we highly recommend it to everybody. :) August 22 · Greta Szilvasi
- I had to let my sweet baby Jeffy go today after a very acute round with IVDD. Balancing a compassionate bedside manner while still being realistic and honest is a challenging task in veterinary medicine and Dr. Early and Nicole have mastered this. When I brought him in, they triaged him immediately and managed to calm both me and Jeffy. I felt like we were a team working together to save my Jeffy, and even though we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, they were wonderful and so accommodating with his transition. In Jeffy’s short 5 years of life he’s seen a number of vet clinics and I saw so much less anxiety with him at CAH.. the facility is always clean and the staff is wonderful. We felt so much love and support during this absolutely devastating time and I could not recommend them any more. March 18 · Alex Pace
- My wife, Lana and I have used Dr. Eric at Chelsea Animal Hospital for years. We would recommend Chelsea Animal Hospital without hesitation. Alex, one of the Vet techs that assisted Dr. Eric today was Amazing. We recently had one of our fur babies pass away. her kind words and caring spirit did wonders for our broken hearts. - Had to carry my cat to be checked for a uti. The clinic was very clean. They were fast and efficient. They explained everything well to us. My cat is doing much better. Very thankful to have had him taken care of. May 02 · Erica
