★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been taking our Poodle Chihuahua Mix to Chisolm Trail Vet Clinic for many years and saddened by our loss, still struggling for sure. We are so grateful for Dr. Spencer in making our decision easier. We have nothing to say negative about these fine, caring people and any negative comments should be ignored. Very personal thoughtful words from each person here at CTVC.
May 19 · Scott Turner HarkeyGreat customer service. Very personable veterinarians. The vets and techs are completely comfortable and loving with our cats and were also with our dog.Our dog was diagnosed there with lymphoma, last year and eventually had to be put down after several months of chemo. The treatments had to be administered in Austin and to our surprise, after we lost him, they told us they were monitoring his progress all along and hoping for the best along with us. I felt like they were almost as devastated as we were when the end came.If you are looking for compassionate, quality care for your pets, in a setting where owners can be in the room with your animals, this is the place.
April 08 · Ken WestfieldDr Dawson is truly the best! Her entire team is very welcoming from administrative to vet techs. I’d highly recommend. They have been caring for my dog for nearly 10 years.
April 05 · rose HernandezChisholm trail is the best vet care hands down in new braunfels! Dr Spencer and her staff are the greatest. I had to take my dog in as an emergency and the staff was very accommodating. From the moment Missy walked into the office they were examining her and making sure that she would be ok. I can’t express my gratitude enough. Thank you so much for how much you truly care.
August 25 · Kathy KimblerNever again. Let me start with they changed their policy on prescription never sent out a notice. Now they will not send a script or fill any prescriptions unless it's through chewy. I don't use chewy because I had a prescription with them that took 7 months to fill. My husband called the office to get a paper script for anti flea medication. They said the paperwork would be ready in the afternoon . When I showed up it wasn't ready and that's when they informed me that they no longer will write paper Scripts but they would do it one time more. But I would have to come back in 24 hours. I came back in 24 hours and the script still wasn't ready and they told me at that point of their policy change again. I had to remind them that the day before they told me they would give me one final paper script. Normally it's a 6 month refill. This time they only gave me a one month refill sighting they don't have a record of us having given my dog this medication before. I reminded them that I brought in over an inch of paperwork they had all of his records . Which included this medication that he's been on for 10 years. The receptionist gave the paperwork back to me and said they did not need it all when I brought it in at the prev visit. She also referred me to their office manager and handed me this card. Both phone numbers on this card are incorrect. One goes to a private individual the other is an insurance company. So I wasted an office visit because they require a visit with a doctor to get a refill. They didn't give me the refill that day and I didn't worry about it then because I still had 2 months left of stock at home. So when I ran out I called them to get the paper script and everything went downhill from there. Dr Hurley was not Cooperative at all this time. The other vets were really nice and I actually liked them but I'll never go back to this place. I have five dogs, three that I switched to this practice when they were due for shots and two other ones that I was planning on Switching when they came due for their next shots. In my 50 years i have never seen a place that forces you to only use their Pharmacy and I couldn't take to my pharmacy of choice. This practice just lost five patients because of this ludicrous policy of not writing paper Scripts and not sending prescription anywhere but Chewy. The front desk is not very competent either. Linda handed me my paperwork back without putting all the records in to the system hence why the doctor wouldn't write me a 6 month refill. In addition my husband spoke with her the day before to get the prescription ready and she never told him they needed 24 hours. When I showed up to pick up she insisted that she did but luckily I was able to pull the footage from my house which had their entire conversation since my husband was on speakerphone. There was no mention of 24-hour wait to pick up a prescription nor was there any mention of no longer writing paper Scripts over the phone. I forgot to mention that I stopped by there two other times to pick up paper Scripts for the other dogs and the first time the doctor didn't have her script pad so she couldn't write me a prescription, even though I called in advance. So I came back the next day and had to wait 30 minutes for them to find the prescription.
