★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I just moved to the area and needed a vet at 930pm at night for my dog. I called and they got me in immediately. From the moment I walked in the door to the time I left, I felt my dogs needs were being not only taken care of to the max, but also the staff including the veterinarians were super friendly, empathetic, and honestly overall compassionate people towards animals in general. I am so grateful they helped me with my dog and I will most certainly be bringing my dogs here in the future if I ever need a vet again. Thank you so much for your dedication to helping the patients you treat and for treating the owners with kindness and genuine care.
June 14 · LaurenAbsolutely thankful for all the staff here that were present to help us with our fur babies’ emergency. Our boxer had a heat stroke and when we were at a panic I called them and they were ready as soon as they saw us arrive to the parking lot… staff took him back right away! Everything was well explained to us and any options we had as well. Staff was great the entire time, would check in with us and keep us updated on any changes.
August 03 · Misuki NagayWe had an emergency with my 11 year old guy. We called and said we were on the way. The staff members were ready for him when we arrived and swiftly came out to the car to get him. We believed he had already stopped breathing before we arrived but that didn’t stop the team from urgently taking him inside to see if he could be saved.I lost a best friend and loyal protector that day, but I have comfort knowing people were around that cared and tried to save him. I appreciate the staff letting my family and I grieve in the privacy of a room with our beloved fur baby covered in a soft blue blanket so we could say our goodbyes. They didn’t rush us or ask us to leave and we stayed there probably a couple hours. Thank you i35 animal hospital staff for your compassion during a most difficult time.
May 03 · Heather TrautmanMy cat got bitten by a copperhead in the face last Sunday morning. I took him within an hour after calling ahead. When I arrived they recognized me from the phone, rushed my cat back and stated they needed a $750 deposit to get him seen right away. I paid it then said to them, "there is no one ahead of me in line, why would the emergency deposit apply when there is no one we're cutting infront of for an emergency?" They said there was one other person there ahead of me in a room already. I said well ok, can I just wait after that person to have the emergency fee waived?. They said no. They came out said they needed blood work and to sign. I signed, they came back and told me the cat got bitten by a snake. I already told them that. They said he'll need anti-venom and it costs over $200. However, to administer anti-venom would require hospitalization, IV etc costing well over $1000. I said bring my cat back and I'll pay for the blood work but we're leaving. They said they couldn't bring the cat yet, he's getting blood drawn now... About 10 minutes later a lady comes out and showed me blood results and offered medicines.. like steroids, antibiotics and pain medicine. WELL NOW WE'RE GETTING SOMEWHERE! This lady seemed better than the rest of the staff but I was very upset by this point and stated that they need to give price range options. They came out earlier trying to make me feel like the cat would die if I didn't hospitalize and give anti venom. There was never an option to do anything less for cheaper until I caused a scene in front of other customers. They still hesitated another 25 minutes to give my cat back. His foot was shaved from blood being drawn. His neck was shaved for who knows what reason. Total ended up being $656 for blood work, medicines and exam (they refunded $93 from my deposit). This place preys on emotions and tries to get the most money they can. A front desk lady was very rude along with one of the vet techs. Two employees seemed well intentioned and caring. My cat is better so I am thankful for that. If I would have listened to their protocol, I'm betting would have cost over $2000 by what they were quoting before I demanded my cat back.
April 30 · fewj fAvoid this place like the plague. I took my dog over here about a year ago for an infection/cyst on his jaw. They were very friendly at first. While waiting in the lobby, another family brought in a very aggressive German shepherd that immediately started lunging and barking at my dog. This caused my dog to bark back, but you could hear in his voice that it was a much more fearful kind of bark. They took the German shepherd back first, which I think was a good call and obviously it’s not their fault the German shepherd was so aggressive. However, they then decided to place us in the room RIGHT NEXT DOOR! You can imagine how this went, both dogs were barking at each other nonstop and my dog was having a full blown panic attack. Later, the German shepherd ended up biting them. So what did they do? PUT MY DOG in a muzzle! I asked if their dog was in muzzle and they said no. My dog showed no signs of aggression to them and was super friendly to them. My guess the reasoning is that they were done with the German shepherd and just nervous about getting bit again, but it just really upset my dog that he couldn’t bark while the other dog was just going off on him.To make matters worse, they took over 3 HOURS to get to us even though I was the first and only other person there. They treated the German shepherd first, I guess to try and get them out (but they took so long that the German shepherd didn’t leave until about 20 minutes before me).At this point it was well into the early hours of the morning, and I think they said the head vet was about to leave. She finally comes in and spends not even 20 seconds feeling the cyst before saying that it was a porcupine needle. For reference, this cyst felt like 2 stones. I asked her what made her think that and she just said it’s extremely common and left in less than a few minutes. So then a lady comes in and told me that I would have to wait another 2 hours for surgery to remove it, and pay $1,700 total. They were very coercive and tried to guilt trip me into making a decision quickly in order to save my dog and put him out of pain (in hindsight after getting to know my dog better, I don’t think he felt any pain at all from the cyst). I ended up declining the surgery but foolishly accepted antibiotics and other medications they sold me on, spending about $300. These medications did absolutely nothing and were a complete waste of time and money. He had the issue before I rescued him from the pound, so I went over there and they agreed to do the surgery free of charge, but seemed very confused on why this vet thought it was a porcupine needle. They did a great job and were much faster. And it turned out that it was not a porcupine needle, it was a 9mm BULLET! Poor guy must’ve been shot at some point, which would explain his anxiety.I understand that the vet here wouldn’t have been able to predict that, but I think they shouldn’t have made a prediction about what it was if they didn’t know. It felt like a very lazy assumption and I wouldn’t trust them to make a more serious diagnosis. The pricing was ridiculous and how much they try to coerce you is scummy. The staff handled the aggressive dog terribly and were extremely slow. Any other vet likely could have had me out the door within 30 minutes. I’ve never had anywhere near such a terrible experience at any other vet I’ve ever been to
