Companion Animal Hospital Reviews
I recently had to put my cat down due to kidney failure but Dr DeWolf and the staff did such a great job helping me thru the process as he got sick pretty quickly. They provided excellent care and eased his pain so I could spend two more days with my little guy. He battled kidney issues since he was born and with their help he was able to get a wonderful 6 years of life he might not have ever had without the compassionate care of Companion.
May 17, 2025 · Nick RussI've had previous experiences with this vet that went relatively okay, the front desk staff is very friendly and I've never had an issue until I met today with Dr.Brown.I went in because our cat was having issues I won't get into the weeds of it but they were minor issues. She immediately sprung for X-rays, and then when I didn't go for that blood work, and shamed us for taking him to a neuter clinic instead of getting him neutered there for well over SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS... We got him neutered last year at a fantastic place for well under that price and haven't had any issues. Instead of talking to me she talked at me and was money driven not cat health driven. I'm not an expert so I left and got a second opinion and they confirmed my suspicion. If you have Dr.Brown just walk out. I'm unsure of the incentives of these vets or the pay structure but it was obvious getting the most expensive things done was the priority. Steer clear.

Jan 03, 2025 · Carleen MejzaI brought my love Lily there for a skin irritation two summers ago she is a blue nose pit. It was on her back paw in-between where she would lick it. So wound started bleeding it looked like a crime scene. They cleaned her paw wrapped it with ace bandage and gave her an antibiotic. To have them check it would of cost thousands.. I thought it was close to 5000 not including fixing it. It was so out of my reach it looked hopeless. So companion told me to bring her back so they could take wrap off.$300. More. I said are you sure this wasn't included in the original $700. ( No, no it was not)Dec 6th her paw was stepped on she had another wound on paw started in summer. It would not go away. I was buying ace bandages all the time. Because I didn't have the 1,100. We were soaking paw regularly. Well January 8th she had surgery on paw. Removed a toe and had it sent out to be checked for cancer,❤️❤️ it wasn't. Total bill with anistisia and re wrapping like a cast every two days except Friday to Monday. For two weeks with all medications $1,700.Updated February 2025When I posted this Lily had just had surgery.I was wrong it had been cancerous. I misunderstood the paperwork on Lilly that was on the counter in the exam room. They would take Lily into another room to remove current bandages to see how paw was healing and so of course I read it because her name was on it. ;)So when I brought her back for the removal of last wrap and reveal of the paw during her chat with me explaining what to do now. I mentioned that It had not been cancerous. because it was never mentioned yet to me. Dr said report came back from bone pathologist and it had been cancer but as long as it hadn't made it's way to (something about the bone they don't normally worry about it returning.) didn't quite get it all because my brainStopped at cancer. But I believe she said there was no reason for me to worry it would come back. So thankfully I found a place to help her when I did or the outcome could have been different. If I had caught it two summers ago even better but the cost at companion overwhelmed me and I became hopeless. She is doing well and we changed food and I will bring her back for regular checkups.😊
Feb 24, 2025 · Amy MinerEveryone from the front desk to the vet techs to the vets themselves are amazing. My cat was born with health issues and they do a great job helping me manage his daily care. If there is an issue or emergency they are quick to get him in so he can get back to being together with his sister and enjoying life!!!
