Crossroads Veterinary Hospital boasts several key features and highlights that contribute to its standing in the Raleigh community. A consistent theme in positive client feedback is the deep appreciation for specific doctors and the caring nature of the entire staff. One client's glowing review captures this perfectly: "The doctors at Crossroads Vet are wonderful but Dr. Sandy Albright and her daughter Alex are the very best! They have taken care of my little baby Izzy for quite a number of years and I am so appreciative that Izzy was in their care. They are great!!! The staff were caring and very helpful every time I called and had a question. Izzy and I both thank the doctors and staff at Crossroads Vet for their kindness and their caring over the years. ♥️♥️" This highlights not only the individual excellence of practitioners like Dr. Sandy Albright but also the collective warmth and helpfulness of the support staff, fostering long-term trust and appreciation.
The hospital's commitment to comprehensive care is another significant highlight. They pride themselves on being a "full-service animal hospital that treats both emergency cases and less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues." Their ability to offer advanced dental care, a fully stocked pharmacy, sophisticated diagnostic tools like radiology and ultrasound, and a wide array of medical and surgical services positions them as a versatile and capable facility for general practice needs. Furthermore, their offerings extend beyond medical treatments to include valuable services like boarding and grooming, providing a holistic approach to pet care that many local families find convenient. They also offer an online pet portal and mobile app (PetPage) for 24/7 access to medical reminders, prescriptions, and appointment management, enhancing convenience for busy pet owners.
While the vast majority of experiences are positive, it's worth noting that one customer had a frustrating experience regarding dental care. This feedback cited issues with having to get a rabies vaccine (despite recent vaccination) before an examination for swelling gums, seeing a vet who couldn't address the dental issue immediately, and a two-month wait for a specialist dental appointment, alongside perceived impoliteness from the front desk. This highlights the importance of clear communication regarding specialized service availability and the necessity of being upfront about prerequisites for certain treatments. However, the consistent praise for the long-term relationships built with pets and their families, and the general kindness of the staff, often outweighs isolated negative experiences, demonstrating their overall positive impact on the community.
- Experienced and Compassionate Veterinarians: Particular praise for doctors like Dr. Sandy Albright and their dedication to long-term patient care.
- Caring and Helpful Staff: Consistently noted for their kindness and willingness to assist with client inquiries.
- Comprehensive Services: A full-service hospital offering wellness, urgent care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, grooming, and boarding.
- Advanced Dental Care: Equipped for professional cleanings, X-rays, and advanced dental procedures, including extractions.
- On-site Pharmacy: Providing convenient access to medications and prescription diets.
- Technological Integration: Offers an online patient portal and mobile app for easy access to records and appointment management.
- Emergency and Urgent Care during business hours: Reserved appointments for same-day urgent needs, demonstrating responsiveness to acute issues.
- Long-Standing Community Trust: Serving Raleigh since 1989, building loyalty through consistent care.

Apr 28, 2025 · Pat Van TuylTook my cat there because of swelling gums. Had to have a rabies vaccine although he had already had one, before they would see him. The vet I saw, didn't know what to do, except give him an oral medicine for 24 hour relief. After spending about $150. I was told that I would have to schedule an appointment with the vet that handles dental issues. That would be about 2 months away. They should have told me that to start with, instead of spending money for 1 days relief. The lady at the front desk wasn't very nice. Why send me in with a vet that doesn't handle dental. Never been back.
Jul 04, 2025 · g wI’ve been taking my fur baby here for grooming for about 6 months. Leanna does such a fantastic job with him. He’s a nervous guy but she’s so good with him and his anxious behavior. He always looks so cute too! I won’t bring him anywhere else.
Oct 26, 2024 · Nicole PallalaGreat staff. Super friendly. My dogs love going here. Always easy to schedule appointments and never had to wait a really long time to be seen.
Apr 26, 2025 · Amber GrissomBest vets around and great prices. They've been taking care of our dog babies for almost twenty years. They've helped us with new additions to our family and we're compassionate when we lost them. Highly recommend!
