Dr. Karen Collins, VMD, LLC - Holistic Pet Healing - Souderton Reviews
Dr Collins and Carol are an A ++ team. My 12 year old lab mix, Benny, was "3 legged lame" after falling on the ice. He suffered a pretty significant injury to his knee. I brought him into the office for some acupuncture and to be evaluated for treatment. During his treatment Dr Collins made all kinds of recommendations for lifestyle alterations that could help him. She also performed cold laser, traditional acupuncture, massage and injected Vitamin B into specific acupuncture points. The whole visit was stress free and caring. The next morning Benny was dramatically improved. He was using all 4 legs again and seemed much happier. We just completed are second visit and are looking forward to our third treatment. Thank You Carol and Dr Collins.
Feb 06, 2025 · Erica LaurenDr. Collins and her team of compassionate professionals are amazing. She has helped three of my dogs live better lives and has empowered me to serve them more effectively. One of the things I appreciate so much is how she works collaboratively with the conventional veterinarians who also see my pets. She tracks records from their regular veterinarian as well as their specialists from internal medicine to surgery to neurology. She respects them and they respect her. My pets are precious to me and Dr. Collins knows that. She helps me give them the absolute best care they need and deserve.
Oct 09, 2024 · Natalie DiGiacomoDr. Collins is a great vet. She is very compassionate, caring and skilled. She cared for my cat when he needed acupuncture and really made a difference for him at the end of his life. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate her and what she did to make him more comfortable!
Nov 12, 2024 · Hillary CausanschiI made an appointment with this doctor and told them that my dog had Glaucoma. I was looking for alternative medicine because the only option the ophthalmologist vet gave me was to remove my dog's eye. I thought about other types of help. But on the first call the lady was telling me that if the vet said so, it was better for me to remove my dog's eye. Without even bothering to see him in a consultation. Which I was willing to pay for. I didn't ask for it for free. She told me about possible treatments with laser acupuncture and also Chinese herbal medicine. We made an appointment for Tuesday, October 8th. They charged me a $75 deposit and the consultation was going to be $275. Not cheap. But in my concern and desperation to find alternatives for my dog, I agreed to everything and asked them to try to do the therapies. At least try. The next day they sent me an email saying that they had cancelled my appointment and that they would not see my dog because he is not a candidate for acupuncture. I felt a deep pain how there are people so insensitive that they say they love pets and discriminate against them in this way without having met my dog or seen a single photo of his eye. And not giving any alternative. Just take out his eye like your vet said. Why don't you take out one of your eyes if you have any issue ? Maybe because yiu are human, not animal. Besides, they had talked to me about Chinese herbal medicine. And what happened to that option? In your letter you say that my dog is not a candidate for acupuncture. But what about herbal medicine? He is not a candidate either? Why can't see to him and make a decision after seeing him?Check very carefully before putting the health of your pets in the hands of people like this. Unethical. Unprofessional. Who are cruel and discriminate against people and their animals. Look for professionals who really want to help you. Not just take your money. Where your pets can receive care regardless of age, color, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, race, religion or sexual orientation of the client. Veterinarians who promote a culture based on values of mutual respect and value pets and practice inclusion. People truly passionate about helping animals and serving the community. Look for they have a mission and vision in their stories, not just their titles hanging on the wall. Be careful with this type of people who call themselves veterinarians. Don't make the same mistake I did and do everything you can for your furry friend's health.
