Colmar Veterinary Hospital Reviews
100% would recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone looking in the area! I have been taking my animals here for almost 6 years now and I have never had a negative experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, kind, empathetic and compassionate. They are amazing about scheduling appointments around your schedule. And when random issues come up with my cats, they are usually able to get me in the same day (if not just tell me to come right in). They truely care for their patients and clients, it shows in how they handle and treat the animals. Even when I just had a question about my cat’s prescription diet, they called me back the same day with the answer. From my rats (Dunkin and Donut) to my cats (Darwin and Cairo), they have alway given the best care and treatment possible to help my pets thrive. I truly appreciate the staff at this hospital from the bottom of my heart. (Pictures included are of my cats on their favorite ledge in one of the exam rooms)
Mar 26, 2025 · Katrina EConsistently excellent and professional Veternary care our pets! Thorough, answered questions no matter how many, and treats both you and your pet as if you are their only patients. Dr Kane and Dr Platt are very experienced and provide comprehensive! Very highly recommend!
Dec 31, 2024 · PhyllisI have two fearful rescue dogs who really struggle with vet visits. I just changed vets and brought them to Colmar for their first visit this morning. 10/10 will recommend to a friend. The technician, Amy, and Dr. Kane were amazing and put sooooo much care into putting my dogs at as much ease as possible given how stressful vet visits are for them. They repeatedly affirmed that my dogs aren't bad, they're just afraid. This made me feel so confident that my dogs were in loving, knowledgeable hands. They offered advice as needed and helped direct me in how I could support my dogs and assist as needed throughout the visit. Not once did I feel any shame or anxiety about the visit, my dogs' behavior, or my shortcomings as a dog-parent. The compassion and empathy these professionals demonstrated were something I truly appreciate and I am thrilled with our visit. Every staff member we encountered was kind, courteous, and understanding of our dogs' personalities. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. We will be back as soon as necessary!
Apr 23, 2025 · Hannah ByrneMy dog Leia is afraid of her own shadow but she loves coming to see Dr. Walker. The whole team is so pleasant and genuinely such nice, knowledgeable people. I'm always greeted with smiles when we walk through the door. The hospital itself is always clean and welcoming. I recommend Colmar Veterinary Hospital to friends and family who are looking for a new vet!
Apr 21, 2025 · Dorothy MarenghiAs I have indoor cats, we don’t need to visit the vet very often. But when one of my cats got sick, I went to the clinic that is three minutes from my home. It is, for me, best to go to the nearest veterinarian as my cats are typically very unhappy about having to get into the car. After several visits there, I was not just disappointed, I was infuriated, not only with unnecessary bills, but just an overall sense that no one knew what they were doing and a complete lack of compassion. I took my other cat to the vet that was used when she was rescued since they knew her, but had a pretty similar experience and that was an hour away. I really didn’t know where to go next when another rescue came into my life that was extremely ill. Fortunately, knowing people in the rescue world, I was told of Colmar Veterinary Hospital. What a smooth operation! They have ample, convenient parking in the back, a beautiful, clean facility, warm and welcoming receptionists, and the kindest, most caring veterinarians and vet techs I’ve ever come across. I trust Dr. Amber Walker implicitly with the care of my fur babies. She is knowledgeable, intuitive, really takes the time to listen to what is going on, and her love for every animal she treats is clearly evident. She is so genuinely loving toward them! She reaches out herself to provide test results as soon as they come in so you are not left waiting and worrying. I feel confident in her diagnoses. The clinic is about 20 minutes away, but I’d drive an hour for this level of quality care.
