Oak Tree Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Oak Tree has been a part of our lives for many years, caring for our beloved dog Findik with compassion and expertise. In her later years, when she suddenly fell ill, Dr. Smith and his incredible team did everything in their power to help her. Despite their best efforts, we faced the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. On that difficult day, the kindness and empathy shown by everyone at the clinic meant the world to us.A week after her passing, Dr. Smith personally called just to check on us — a gesture that spoke volumes about the genuine care they provide, not only to their patients but also to their families. Now, with our new puppy Blossom, we continue to entrust Oak Tree with her care. Every visit is met with warm smiles and friendly faces. We’re so grateful to have such a compassionate and dedicated team looking after her.
Jun 18, 2025 · Serap AlbayrakI took my dog here because my normal vet was booked and I didn't want to deal with an emergency room vet because they are outrageously priced. When I arrived I was told that I was looking at a $600 bill, maybe $700 this included x-rays and all. My dog was breathing because his trachea collapsed. A 12 year old chihuahua. They put him in a cage and said they put him on oxygen, which when I saw him he was merely laying with his head on an ice pack. Either way, in the end the bill came to $1500 because it was $220/hr. for oxygen. Needless to say my dog didn't make it. He was a small dog, 18 lbs. and I was charged $350 for cremation, which was outrageous also, but what was I going to do? This was my first time here and I don't think I will ever go back.
Jun 26, 2025 · Debbie Lacey0 stars. Absolutely horrible place, yeah the techs and Dr may be nice but they feed of your emotional vulnerability and charge for whatever they can in a time of distress. They prioritize profit over genuinely caring for your animal. We brought our cat in for urinary issues, and she wasn’t getting better so brought her back for a check up. She ended up being hospitalized (?) and ran all these tests on her, just for the vet to call me and say “I’ve been only been a vet for 3 years so idk what’s wrong with her, either take her to the ER or just bring her home and wait for her to pass”….. $1,600 out the door with no answer or even a “maybe this is what’s wrong”, absolutely no clarity on what was happening. Just a “sorry let us know how we can help”. AND THEN quoted me another $870 to euthanize her! So over $2,500 for NO answers and a dead cat?? I got a second opinion the next day…. She has beginning stages of kidney disease and needed a change in her food, already 2 days later and she’s feeling better and acting more herself! Absolutely unbelievable…how does a vet not know that high potassium in cats is #1 symptom in kidney disease/failure. All I had to do was google her test results and I knew right away. Just know if you bring your pet here, you will be paying for their fancy new building and they don’t actually care about your pet- just money. Expect unexpected charges, paying more than you were quoted/estimated, and guilt tripped by everyone that sees your pet. I wouldn’t recommend this place to even my worst enemy.
May 02, 2025 · Kellsie GiordanoI felt like an ATM !They charged for a visit, but the vet didn't call or return my calls. They are nice, but they charge double then other vet and charge so much for every little thing. They wouldn't say that some vaccine are optional. I paid 350 dollars on first-time vaccination . Then yesterday I tookmy new puppy to a different vet, and it was 140 dollars less. And suddenly, they would charge for an upcoming presidure that was not needed.
Jun 17, 2025 · Rivka NilssonI've dealt with them several times and in every aspect they were bad and just pushing for more money. First was a cat that had some tiny kidney stones. Vet immediately said my cat needed a $4000 surgery and she wouldn't budge on it, even when I told her I didn't have that money. Instead, I put my cat on urinary tract health food, and years later she's still fine, and has been verified as fine by a different vet. Every time I've gone back, it's been a bad situation. My wife brought a dog there to be euthanized recently—a dog with a failing heart, could barely breathe, and couldn't walk. The vet tech guilt-tripped my wife for not doing $1000 in testing first, then gave her attitude and implied my wife was trying to put down a perfectly healthy dog. The euthanasia was also nearly $800. I had friends take puppies here, and this vet charges about twice as much as every other vet, so they don't take their puppies there anymore. Do not recommend under any circumstances.
