The **Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Southwest Missouri, Inc.**, located in Springfield, is the dedicated facility for these critical, after-hours needs. Established in 1997 by a corporation of area veterinarians, this animal hospital was created specifically to ensure that high-quality, professional veterinary care is available to your pets regardless of the time of day, whether it's late on a weeknight, over a weekend, or during a major holiday.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I cannot thank Dr. Price and the entire team at the Emergency Vet Clinic of Springfield enough. They quite literally saved my Great Dane, Mace’s, life. He was suffering from bloat and needed immediate surgery—at 1AM no less. Without their quick action and incredible care, he wouldn’t be here today.Despite the urgency and stress of the situation, Dr. Price and the staff were calm, compassionate, and clear. They took the time to explain everything to us with kindness and grace, making an overwhelming experience as manageable as possible.Mace is recovering well thanks to their skill and dedication. We are forever grateful to this amazing team. If your pet is ever in crisis, I wouldn’t trust anyone else. May 23 · Lindsay Cecil
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐So thankful we have this vet hospital in Springfield—yes, it’s the only one in town and the nearest emergency vet is hours away! They triaged right away so pets with the most urgent needs were seen first, and checked my pup’s vitals as soon as we arrived. We had the option to wait in the comfort of our car, and it wasn’t long before we were called in. She was seen, diagnosed, and treated promptly—with fair pricing too. I could see how hard these staff members work together, and I truly appreciate the compassion and care they give to our pets and community! August 19 · Melissa Potter
- Took our sick cat here. Estimate and price were discussed up front. Did the necessary tests and gave our cat fluids and meds. Told us to follow up with our regular vet the next day. The staff were respectful and professional and genuinely cared for our cat who is not an easy patient. Pricing was consistent with our local vet. Would use again would recommend. - They got us in unless than 5 minutes and took excellent care of my cat. He had a urinary blockage which is a critical condition. They kept him two days and called me twice a day with updates. Great facility. May 01 · Belinda Rogers
- Rude staff, couldn’t even accurately tell me the gender of my pet. I knew he was a boy, they said girl then changed their minds. Entire staff lacked any empathy or any sort of compassion despite my 3 year old bawling over what was happening, they were incredibly dismissive, rude and condescending. Accused and blamed me for the issues going on. Had a family member that’s a vet tech look over my pet after we left and she was much more caring and shocked at what they did and said to me.Not only that but demanded I pay $450 yo front when the actual bill only ended up being 150.Dismissed any emotion my family had and tech kept pushing me to sign my pet over to her so SHE COULD KEEP HIM AS HER OWN PET claiming she’d pay for his visit (good for you you prob wouldn’t have to pay for shit working there) despite me saying I didn’t want to give him away, we wanted to keep him and my 3 year old child screaming and crying that it was her pet. Rather than being kind to my child this jerk says “my offer still stands I’ll take him”. It took forever to calm my child down reassuring her I wasn’t going to give away her pet. They DO NOT care here. After sharing this experience with some friends they shared their own horrifying experiences as well of malpractice from this place that made what happened with my experience look like a breeze. But those aren’t my stories to share. I will NEVER bring another pet here again. May 25 · E Dahlia
