Faithful Hearts Mobile Veterinary Services - End-Of-Life Care Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Navigating the end-of-life journey for a beloved pet is one of the most difficult experiences a pet owner can face. In South Carolina, Faithful Hearts Mobile Veterinary Services offers a unique and compassionate solution by providing professional veterinary care specializing in this critical stage, all within the familiar and comforting environment of your own home. This is not a traditional vet clinic, but a dedicated mobile service focused on end-of-life care, including at-home euthanasia and hospice services. The philosophy behind Faithful Hearts is to provide a peaceful and dignified transition for your pet, surrounded by the people and places they love most. The team understands the profound bond between pets and their families and is committed to treating every animal with the utmost love and respect. This specialized approach ensures that the final moments are as gentle and stress-free as possible, both for the pet and the grieving family. By offering this essential service as a mobile practice, Faithful Hearts eliminates the anxiety and discomfort that a final car ride or vet clinic visit can cause, allowing for a truly peaceful goodbye.
The practice is led by a team of dedicated professionals, including Dr. Alissa Anderson, who is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Veterinarian, with extensive training specifically in end-of-life care. This level of specialization means they are not just providing a service, but are experts in their field, equipped to handle the emotional and medical complexities of this sensitive time. They go above and beyond, offering strong pre-appointment phone support to help families prepare and understand the process. The service is built on compassion and a deep respect for the human-animal bond. This is evident in the personal touches they provide, such as taking the time to play with a pet before the procedure, explaining every step, and allowing families to grieve privately. In a time of immense sadness, Faithful Hearts provides a much-needed sense of control, peace, and dignity, making a heartbreaking process just a little bit more bearable.
Location and Accessibility
Faithful Hearts Mobile Veterinary Services operates on an appointment-only basis and is a mobile practice, meaning they bring their services directly to your home. Their base is located at 107 W Greer St, Honea Path, SC 29654, USA, but their service area extends to meet the needs of families throughout South Carolina. This mobile model is a key component of their service, designed specifically to maximize convenience and minimize stress. By operating on a house-call basis, they are able to provide care where your pet feels most comfortable and safe. The fact that their services are “by appointment only” underscores their commitment to providing dedicated, unhurried care. This ensures that when they arrive, their full attention is on you and your pet. Although a physical office is not a primary point of care for their clients, their commitment to accessibility is evident in their operations and service. The nature of a mobile service means that they are inherently wheelchair-accessible, as they come to the location of your choosing. This approach eliminates the physical barriers that a traditional clinic might pose, making their compassionate services available to everyone, regardless of their mobility.

What is worth choosing
Choosing a service for your pet’s final moments is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Faithful Hearts Mobile Veterinary Services stands out as an exceptional choice in South Carolina due to its singular focus on compassionate, at-home end-of-life care. What truly makes them worth choosing is the unparalleled peace and dignity they bring to a heart-wrenching situation. The reviews from real customers provide powerful evidence of their incredible service. One review highlights how the team went above and beyond, traveling outside their normal range to help a family, demonstrating a level of compassion that is truly remarkable. The same review notes their commitment to communication, with the ability to text and a team that handles all the logistical details, including contacting the primary vet, so the family can focus on saying goodbye. This kind of seamless, supportive service is invaluable during a time of grief.
Another powerful testimonial describes the euthanasia of a dog named Mason. The owner praised the team, particularly Alissa, for their calm and gentle demeanor. She took the time to explain every step, let the family set the pace, and even played with the dog beforehand to create a peaceful atmosphere. A particularly touching detail is the use of a remote doorbell, which allowed the family to have private moments with their pet after he had passed, before the team returned for transport. This attention to detail and respect for the grieving process shows a deep understanding of what families need in their final moments with a beloved companion. The beautiful mementos and urns they provide further solidify their commitment to honoring a pet's memory. While the nature of their services may be sad, the quality of care and the profound respect they show to both pets and their owners makes Faithful Hearts an outstanding and highly recommended choice. They transform a difficult goodbye into a peaceful, loving, and dignified farewell, right where your pet feels most at home.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Alissa and Ben were wonderful in the whole process. I love that I was able to text them instead of having to call and Blake was very helpful. They took care of everything, had a lot of compassion, and made sure to treat our fur baby with so much love. We were out of their range (driving distance) but made an exception to come to our home. They even called our primary vet to let them know what happened so we wouldn’t have to worry about it. We got a paw print and hair clippings and picked out a beautiful box to hold his ashes, and we got to bring him home within two weeks. I highly recommend Faithful Hearts.
August 05 · Amy KhanAlissa and her team are incredible. Despite it being such a sad occasion, the euthanasia of our dog, Mason, was perfect. Alissa knew what to say and how to treat us, even taking some time to play with Mason. When it came time for the procedure, Alissa explained every step and left the timing up to us. We went at our own pace and were able to watch him peacefully slip away. Once Mason passed, Alissa gave us a remote doorbell and left us to grieve in private. When we were ready, we were able to press the doorbell and they returned to bundle up our boy.The mementos and urn are beautiful, and we’re very happy with the beautiful service that Alissa provided. We cannot recommend them enough.
May 13 · Charlotte NottinghamI have been trying to think of something to say the last few days on this review. What I can say Faithful Hearts was so supportive in this very difficult time. They made us feel very comfortable when they came to our home. They informed us of everything that was being done. I can't express enough how wonderful they were. I'm so glad that they were here so our best boy Axel didn't have to suffer anymore. We will forever love and miss him 😢🐕🦺
May 15 · Terri QuigleyAmazing experience during a difficult time. Faithful Hearts truly cares about making a very hard time as easy as possible. They were so compassionate from the very beginning…making the appointment, walking us through what would happen, treating our pet with love and respect, giving us as much time as we needed to say goodbye, making sure our pet was comfortable, providing a calming environment, providing support resources for our loss, and providing the overall best scenario in a hard time. We are so thankful for this place and will definitely come to them again whenever we need to make that hard decision regarding a pet. I highly recommend them. The owners are wonderful and helping people through this difficult time/decision is clearly a passion for them!
June 17 · Kim StayerWe can't say enough about Alissa, Blake and Ben! What an incredible service they offer! We had to make the extremely difficult decision to put both of our girls down together. We are eternally grateful that this team of very dedicated, compassionate professionals was willing to help us through this process. It takes special people to go through that kind of pain with you! We HIGHLY recommend them! Thank you so much Faithful Hearts!!
