★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had an excellent experience with the FHTC with my cat, Geno. The website was so informative and the appointment-making process was easy and efficient. Pricing was very transparent. The building was easy to find and parking was simple.Everyone we encountered was very friendly and professional. The waiting room was comfortable and they had towels covered in Feliway available for nervous kitties. They prioritized the comfort of our cat during the appointment, allowing him to be comfortable during the appointment. Dorian was an excellent nurse and a thorough history-taker. Dr. Mahoney was professional, polite, and a wealth of feline knowledge. It was obvious that she loved her job and was enthusiastic about helping so may kitties. She answered all of my many questions and I left the appointment knowing exactly what to expect.I felt very comfortable leaving my kitty in their capable hands and got thorough update on-time each day. The checkout process was easy and the discharge nurses were kind and made sure I left with no additional questions. If your cat has hyperthyroidism, I cannot recommend FHTC enough. I drove 8 hours for this treatment and would do it again in a heartbeat.Thank you to all the staff for all of your hard work and compassion. 😻
June 09 · Mandy WeaverAfter I found out my 13-year-old cat, Mini, was hyperthyroid, I knew I did not want to deal with an expensive, twice-daily medication with all of its potential side effects, when we are fortunate enough to have this treatment center nearby.I requested an appointment and they got in touch very quickly. After the appointment and treatment, Mini was able to come home after just one night! Dr. Mahoney and the rest of the staff were very kind, thorough, and attentive to her needs. It's been just over a month, and Mini's bloodwork is already back within a normal range. She has started to gain weight and her ravenous appetite has normalized. We will have another checkup at 3 months but so far, so good.
March 02 · Lindsey MuellerI can’t thank the Feline Hyperthyroid Center and Dr. Vaughn enough for the exceptional care and treatment provided to my cat, Gracie. We just received her 90-day blood work results, and I’m thrilled to report that her treatment was a success! Gracie is maintaining her weight, and her thyroid levels are back to normal.Dr. Vaughn and the entire team are so knowledgeable, compassionate, and skilled; they guided us through every step, making an initially daunting process feel manageable and reassuring. This treatment has truly given Gracie the chance to continue aging gracefully and comfortably. I was initially nervous, but after seeing the results and witnessing the professionalism of this center, I’m now a firm believer in the remarkable expertise here. Thank you for giving Gracie this amazing gift of health!
November 04 · A SDr. Vaughan was wonderful at the pre-treatment appointment. She more than answered all the questions that I had. All the staff were very friendly. My Cleo was in very good hands for her thyroid treatment.
May 21 · Robyn PeeteMy family has had Lila since she was a kitten. She is turning 15 in October, I was only 10 when we got her. I moved away as an adult for a few years and when I came back the poor thing was neglected and emaciated. She had been severely underfed and had not been taken to the vet in years. It was clear to me that she was quickly fading and would waste away if not given the proper attention. I took her under my care and had her checked out. It turned out she had one of the most severe cases of feline hyperthyroidism my vet had ever seen. She was only 4lbs at that time; less than half of what she would weigh if she were healthy. Because all of Lila's other organs were functioning perfectly my vet recommended a permanent fix as opposed to expensive food or medication, and referred me to the feline hyperthyroid treatment center in shoreline. I was skeptical at first because of the pricing but after doing my research decided to put everything I had into this. I still didn't have enough, but thanks to the kindness of strangers on GoFundMe was able to come up with the cash. At the consultation the staff and doctors were very kind and informative. I felt very comfortable leaving my friend in their care. Lila was at the treatment center for 11 days, and a staff member called me every day to let me know how she was doing. In the following months she gained weight and her vitality returned. At her final bloodwork post op it was clear: the treatment worked 100%. She is now 9lbs and is very muscular. She does not act like a 15 year old cat and her vet says she could live for many years to come. Thank you Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center! Lila has been living with me ever since and is a very happy cat. I am always shocked how dense and heavy she is when I pick her up. She is also very playful and strong now. It's like having a kitten around the house again :) You're doing the lord's work. Keep it up!
