We called Dr. Gardner at 7pm to set up an appointment for the next day between 4 and 5 pm. She arrived at 4:05 pm with her husband. (I wouldn't want to go to a stranger's house alone either. Plus he would be able to help carry a 50+ pound dog into their van to go for cremation .) Dr Gardner was very compassionate to us. She was very kind and gentle to our beloved cat of 18 years. I will use her again and recommend her to my family and friends.

She had been my husband's best friend during his struggle with cancer and had been my companion following his death. My husband had passed at home with hospice care and I just couldn't bear the idea of a trip to the vet once we knew there was nothing more that could be done for Paisley. I called Dr Gardner on a Thursday and she came on Friday morning with her husband. She was wonderful - compassionate, caring, warm, gentle, informative. I felt my little Paisley was in good hands. Having her at home where I could hold her in my lap on her little blanket where she felt safe and loved as she passed was so much better than a trip to the vet's office. She said she could come that day between 5-7pm. She arrived at 5:45 with her husband. She was compassionate and treated our dog and my husband and I with dignity and care. She was gentle and kind. We will use her again when needed and highly recommend her to our friends. As we loaded our sweet boy into her vehicle there were even little string lights and prayer flags strung across the back window.

When I called back to discuss a potential home burial, I was very put off by her response. She quoted the law inaccurately and refuted my findings by telling me I "can't believe the internet." I suppose that might be true, but I was on government websites. Basically, I got the feeling she didn't want to charge less. In fact she finally quoted me only $25 less if we did our own burial.After getting off the phone, I decided to contact another service. The price quoted was almost half for the exact same services. These folks "felt" more genuine, and I booked with them. When I cancelled our appointment she wanted to know why. I let her know I was disappointed by her attitude. She said I misinterpreted her intention. That may be true. We may just not be a good match.However, she wanted to know who I was using and then proceeded to say that "their services aren't even close to the same." Huh? They are basically exactly the same. Oh well.I don't want to hurt her business, but I also know people going through this situation might be helped by some honest feedback.

She will not stick to the given time, she will push you to pay for things not originally talked about, and when we cancelled after she showed up 3 HOURS late she got in my mothers face and demanded to be reimbursed for travel. DO NOT USE THIS WOMANS SERVICE. THERE IS NOTHING PERFECT ABOUT THE GOODBYE THIS WOMAN OFFERS.
