Gilbertsville Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Great friendly service! We were only in for a vaccination but we're new to the area and the care team really took the time to get to know us and even recommended some trails that we would enjoy with our young pup and family.
Jun 22, 2025 · Shay BilinskiUpdate: I see their reply. I've continuously requested to be contacted via email regarding my concerns, as I prefer to have things on paper, especially given my experiences. I received a response to this review, yet I still have yet to have a proper email response (as requested many times).I used to go to them for all of my pets, but this past year has been extremely frustrating. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. 1) My cat was actively dying in one of their rooms months ago, and they just stared at him while I held him and he was in so much distress. I kept asking what I could do, but the tech didn't even respond. After he passed, all she did was ask if I was paying with cash or card. 2) They canceled my dog's ultrasound 3x (maybe even 4, I lost count) in a row 5 minutes before her appointment each time. On the 4th event, I overheard staff saying that the only reason the person came in that morning to do the ultrasound was because another location was closed. 3) They charged me for wellness exams several times when I was just coming in for my dog to get a vaccine or ultrasound even though she already had those completed. 4) I asked them about these charges along with the experience with my cat dying via email and requested a response via email, as I prefer things in writing. They said they sent the message along, I didn't hear for a week, I reached back out, they said they will send the message along. A month later I ask again, they say they will send the message along, and 3 weeks later I asked them and they were very rude in their response and, instead of actually responding to what my questions were, denied everything. I was shocked, because my emails were very polite and understanding. Building trust with clients is very important, and they completely lost any chance at rebuilding that. I saw that other people had similar concerns, along with misdiagnoses and tremendous hike increases. I will be taking my pets elsewhere moving forward. I hope I don't get a response via Google, as I have expressed these same frustrations over email and have yet to receive a response in writing (as requested several times).
Apr 08, 2025 · CjpThis vet has the most thoughtful, caring, and helpful group of people of any vet I’ve ever been to. Our 6 yr old dog, Grace, had an extremely large lump on her back end that they were able to schedule an appointment to view the next day and then remove the mass within less than a week. The lump ended up being cancerous and Dr Reist was able to remove the entire tumor even with its large size. The incision sight has since been healing perfectly! Dr Reist has shown our dog nothing but love and followed up with us throughout the entire process. We will never go anywhere else!
Apr 29, 2025 · Juliana RogersDr Reist and the tech staff are wonderful. Very compassionate, friendly and attentive!
