Hauppauge Animal Hospital Reviews
How this place is still open with all the other caring and compassionate vets around ,I will never understand. I stopped going to this horrible place 15 years ago after an incident with my lab. My mother, who has been a loyal customer for the past 50 years and I , put her dog down last week. What a horrible experience at such a devastating time. To begin with Dr. DeGeorge has a personality of a flea. It took her an hour and a half to put down this poor dog that was suffering. She could not get the injection in one paw so she proceeded to try all paws all the while the dog was shaking and panting. Then when she finally came in to do something different, which she should’ve done originally, she didn’t have the injection. It was the most horrific experience, and my mother has such guilt, as it was not a peaceful passing. On a side note, there weren’t even any tissues in the room. I would not recommend any pet owner to ever take their pet there. Finally, the office is disgusting and is in need of remodeling and they overcharge you
Jun 23, 2025 · Christine TenetyI'm not typically one to leave reviews, but after my experience here I feel obligated to warn future pet parents. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT go here. They overcharge and lack empathy. AnneMarie, the receptionist, is unfriendly and overall awful. I've never heard such rude customer service. I have been bringing my dog here for over 3 years now, even after moving 45 minutes away. I decided to keep going to this location to keep the consistency for my dog. Such a mistake. I had an appointment set for 2:20 and had a confirmation text and everything with the time saying 2:20. I ended up being told during my long drive over that I missed my appointment for 1:20 and that there was no availability for the rest of the day. I called and AnneMarie told me that they put in their computer system 1:20, so I could not come to my 2:20 appointment. She then proceeded to tell me that "the 2:20 confirmation text we sent was sent by mistake". If a company sends you a confirmation text for an appointment, that should be honored no matter what. (Mind you, my dog's appointment was for 1 vaccine that takes 30 seconds.) Their ONLY redeeming quality is their very kind vet techs. I wish for them the best and that they find better work environments.
May 30, 2025 · SarahWe've been with this Vet for a long time and we love coming here. We drive from Wading River to see the Dr's here. The complete staff knows my dog and he is comfortable with them all. I recommend this place 1000%
Sep 23, 2022 · WilliamDr Munro was awesome - super knowledgeable, patient and willing to take the time to not only listen to me and my concers, but also took the time to discuss, teach and clarify things that I needed for my new puppy Gracie. She is wonderful and I look forward to many years with her as one of our vets at HAH. Thank you!
