Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital, while receiving some mixed feedback regarding staff attention and communication, is widely praised for its exceptional medical expertise and care for a broad range of animals. The clinic’s ability to provide a high level of care, particularly for exotic pets, makes it a valuable resource for a specific segment of the pet-owning community. The initial waiting aspect noted by a client is a small hurdle for the "wonderful" care provided, demonstrating that many are willing to overlook minor inconveniences for what they consider to be excellent animal care.
The most compelling reason to choose this hospital is its commitment to both routine wellness and advanced, specialized treatments. The availability of advanced diagnostics, complex surgeries, and services like regenerative medicine and blood transfusions means that Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital can be a long-term partner in your pet’s health journey, from a simple wellness check to a serious medical issue. A pet store referral highlighted their excellence with small and exotic animals, confirming their unique capabilities. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1During my recent visit to Indian Creek Veterinary Clinic, I was disheartened by the lack of attention from the staff during a critical time when my family needed care. I noticed that one staff member (whose name begins with S) was regularly on her phone, which made the overall service feel impersonal and neglectful. I believe that in moments like these, every bit of focus and compassion matters, and I hope that the clinic can reassess its priorities to ensure that patients and their loved ones receive the caring attention they deserve.
June 07 · JohnI was referred to this vet by a pet store. They said they were wonderful with small or exotic animals. I agree I think they are lovely in being able to take good care of the animals. I had an initial visit which ran kind of long in the waiting aspect but other than that wonderful. My rabbit had a second visit to get spayed. When I dropped her off they asked me to sign a paper stating a good phone number to call and an alternative number as well to let us know when she’s ready for pickup. I dropped her off when they opened at 7:30am. They said that they would call when she’s awake and ready but pickup is usually between 2-5p. They NEVER CALLED US TO LET US KNOW SHE WAS READY. I had to call them. I don’t know how long she was waiting, but that’s VERY frustrating to do to a little animal in pain. Not very happy about that
September 26 · Taylor SchlosserThe doctors are good. The staff are kind. They make ordering prescriptions from Chewey super easy. They do give too many treats during visits, and my dog gets sick in the car ride home every time.I give 3 stars because I don't think they are well equipped to handle large dogs. They are also pricey and push for expensive unnecessary labwork and surgeries. They also don't assist the elderly with their pets. I watched one gentleman get knocked down to the ground when his dog and another dog passing by got overly excited. I didn't see the staff budge an inch to help. Maybe they should consider having automatic doors to help the elderly and mothers juggling pets and kids get through the entrance.
June 17 · Elizabeth WoenkerMy Bernedoodle started limping on a Friday. I called and was able to get an appointment on Monday. Dr. Cawood was an amazing doctor. I had been using a different vet, but will be going here from now on.
May 13 · Drew EdmondsonVery caring and wonderful vets. They take the time to listen to all your concerns and answer all your questions. They are affordable and you can tell they truly care about your fur babies. If your looking for a vet in Fort Wayne, I highly recommend them. They have taken good care of my babies since I moved to Indiana.Selina, Sadie, and Candy also recommend them, although they wish that they wouldnt ever have to go to their office lol 😉
