Ipswich Animal Hospital Reviews
Dr. Callahan truly cares for all of his patients. My cat, Jaxon, is just over 1 year old, and he suddenly got ill, and I didn’t know why. Dr. Callahan and his staff have been so amazing, kind, and patient with me through this whole situation. They have all gone above and beyond for Jaxon. They show so much care and love for both him and I. When your fur baby is sick, it can be very scary. Not once did anyone make me feel I was being annoying or like a bother, even though I called a few times a day to check on him. Thank you, Dr. Callahan and staff! You are all truly amazing! Jaxon is feeling so much better today, and I’m very grateful I chose you to care for my fur baby.
Apr 07, 2025 · Jamie MooreBrought my cat here for the first time today.Absolutely loved the staff, and Dr. Callahan. Very intelligent, kind, and they all had patience, especially with my daughter , LOL. I’m so happy to have found Dr. Callahan thanks to howie Carr! Will definitely come back!!!
Jan 27, 2025 · Jenn42405rMy dog Rebel was hit by a pickup truck just after 6pm on a busy street near my parents house a few weeks back. From the outside everything seemed fine except his tail was pretty badly mangled so I knew at a minimum he was going to need stitches. Then there's that unknown question of 'Is there any internal injuries?'. My dad googled "emergency vets near me" because it's after 6pm on a Monday so most places are closed. He somehow got a hold of Dr. Callahan who offered to meet us back at the clinic. Dr. Callahan was amazingly professional and straight forward. I was a mess so I appreciated the fact that he laid everything out on the table on how things were going to go. He gave Rebel a full assessment and advised we keep an eye on him for any signs that could indicate internal issues. He also said that his tail would need to be amputated. Labs are happy dogs so even if it hurts they will continue to wag their tails and not let the wound heal. I watched Rebel all day Tuesday and he kept wagging his bandages off, further proving Dr. Callahan's point. On Wednesday he went back in and had the amputation as well as x-rays and blood work to check for internal damage. The entire staff at this place was kind and knowledgeable. To top all this off, when I brought Rebel back to get his stitches out, I had my 12 year old Lab Buddy with me. Dr. Callahan took the time to sit down with Buddy and explain a neurological issue that was starting to happen with Buddy's back legs. He then gave me recommendations on how to help him moving forward. I don't know if he realizes how much that meant to me because other Vets that I have expressed my concerns to about this very issue just reply with "oh he's old" or "it's probably arthritis". I always had a feeling it was something more! It is for these reasons and many more that I have decided to continue taking my dogs to Ipswich Animal Hospital for all their Veterinary needs moving forward. Many many thanks to Dr. Callahan and his amazing team!
