Cornell University Veterinary Specialists Reviews
Dr. Love, the whole oncology team, and all staff here are amazing! Our dog Bella had lymphoma and this team did absolutely everything they could for her and our family. With saddened hearts, Bella passed at Cornell yesterday but the team was nothing but compassionate and comforting. They all truly love their jobs and the families they treat and become a second family when you visit there so often!
Jun 23, 2025 · Elizabeth VenticinqueI had a heartbreaking and frustrating experience with Cornell. My critically ill cat was transferred here from VEG, and I was never clearly informed that there would be any cost. The doctor told me multiple times that if I donated my cat’s body, there would be no fee. At the front desk, someone who didn’t seem to know what they were doing handed me a form to sign — while I was in shock and scared for my cat’s life. I signed it thinking it was part of the treatment process.Once admitted, the medical team heavily pressured me into euthanizing my cat rather than exploring treatment options. I’m a student with limited financial means, and I donated my cat’s body because I couldn’t even afford a funeral for him. Now I’m being billed, despite what I was told. VEG, who initially charged me $2,000, refunded the full amount out of compassion. Cornell has shown me none. This experience left me emotionally and financially devastated. I felt taken advantage of during one of the worst moments of my life. Please think twice before bringing your pet here!
Jun 05, 2025 · Elif T GurIt was such a relief finding an amazing team to look after our Soda. From the moment we walked in, we felt truly seen and heard. Every step of the process was clearly explained, which gave us the confidence to travel all the way to Stamford for the care he needed. From the front desk staff to the surgeon, everyone was incredibly attentive, professional, and compassionate. The surgery options and plan were communicated with clarity and patience, making it easy for us to move forward without hesitation. We’re beyond grateful for the outstanding support, the clear communication, and the genuine care shown to both Soda and us throughout the entire experience. Thank you for making such a stressful time feel manageable and safe.
Jun 11, 2025 · Stela CoutinhoI can't thank all the staff enough for saving Coopers life. They were amazing ! Although the biopsy came back with aggressive cancer, Dr Love provided all the options to us in a clear, concise and very caring manner. She was terrific. Just knowing Cooper was receiving the best care possible gave us assurance he was at the right place.
Jan 10, 2025 · Linda MeierWe lost our beloved Yorkie Goody 1yr ago today. And it has been a long and hard journey for us. But, one thing that provided us solace was Cornell Veterinary Specialists. We had rushed in Goody at 12am and they diagnosed her and gave us the sad news. We are so appreciative for Dr Kat Neve who helped us through this tough time. We just opened a card today that Dr Neve sent to us consoling us for our loss. Thank you to Dr Kat Neve and the team at Cornell, sorry it took so long to review.
