Choosing Kroner Animal Care is a decision to invest in a comprehensive and supportive partner for your pet's health. The provided information highlights a full range of medical and surgical services, including routine procedures, advanced laser therapies, and critical care. This breadth of care is invaluable, as it means you can rely on one trusted provider throughout your pet's life, from their puppy years to their senior stages. The glowing review from a long-term customer who is thankful for veterinarian Helen Rutter and Ryan's help with emergencies over the years speaks volumes about the clinic's reliability and compassionate service.
However, it's also important for potential clients to be aware of all aspects of the clinic's service. The negative review regarding a phone call experience is a serious concern that highlights a potential issue with communication and professionalism, particularly regarding the types of animals they treat. While it is understandable that a clinic may have a limited scope of practice, the reported rude response and abrupt hanging up are not in line with the friendly and professional tone that most pet owners expect. This feedback suggests that while the medical care itself may be excellent for established patients and common pets like dogs and cats, there may be some challenges with the initial contact for new or potential clients, especially those with less common animals. For owners of dogs and cats seeking a well-equipped facility with a wide array of services and a team known for working with their long-term patients on emergencies, Kroner Animal Care remains a strong option in the Athens area. It's recommended to communicate clearly about your pet's needs when booking an appointment.

June 10 · anthony mulhernCalled in a few mins ago to ask a question. Phone was answered by "diana" when asking if they treated a certain type of animal or if they would look at a eye injury on a 1 yr old capuchin they simply hung up, we called back thinking the line was disconnected once "diana" answered the phone again we had asked if the line went dead or hung up she said i hung up, asking why she hung up she states we dont treat capuchins. She could have easily stated they didnt treat capuchins instead we got a rude reaponse and hung up on for asking if they treat capuchins. I wouldnt ever go to this place if thats how they react to a simple question by hanging up on potential patients. Its all on my phone audio recorded, as its not against the law and is a one party consent state.
July 09 · Marcy MillerThis place is the greatest very compassionate and concerned about all animal. They never let me down. Thank you all so much for being there when no one else would. Puma is so happy and healthy.
July 29 · Deloris BurkholderI’ve went here twice now, and both times they butchered my dogs hair. I specifically asked both times to call me if they were going to shave my dog, and I would come pick her up. I did NOT want my dog shaved. Both times they failed to call me, and they shaved her. They also told me a price over the phone, and both times it was almost $30 more! The hair cuts have been sloppy, and laughable. Everyone who has seen my dog has laughed and made a comment. I would never recommend this place. They have disrespected my wishes two times now, and the hair cuts they chose to do were sloppy.
January 14 · emma fonteI’ve sent my dog here for 2 years for grooming. Back in January they clipped his nails too short which lead to bleeding when he got home. Ok, fine. This time - he had another short nail clip and an awful wound on his chest. Notice how his white fur on his chest had no other blood on it and was obviously cleaned up. No one mentioned anything of this when we picked him up. We took him right back where they were apologetic, comped the services, and glued his wound shut. A few days later the wound busted open and they put staples in instead. I’m so disappointed. Although they tried to make things right after the fact, the staff clearly doesn’t pay attention/care enough to notice that this happened. To top it off the haircut wasn’t even good. We certainly will be going somewhere else for all vet and grooming needs.UPDATE: my dog now has a nailbed infection from his nails being cut too short by the groomer.
